6 Bedroom, 3 Bath, Timber Home On A Hill Near Bass Lake/Lake Michigan
Why Jim Howell chose Ludington
We chose this property because of the location and access to Lake Michigan beaches, Bass Lake, Pentwater and Ludington. And we wanted to have a special place to gather with our three children and eight grandchildren.
What makes this Lodge unique
The porch, with the overhead fans, brings you back to the days when people enjoyed relaxing on their porch with family and friends enjoying the weather and view.

The house was perfect for our large family. More than enough kitchen supplies (plates, cups, silver wear, etc.) We especially appreciated the large dining room table we could all fit around for meals. There are lots of games, books, and movies for entertainment in the evenings. We also enjoyed the fire pit and having nightly campfires. Less than 5 minute drive to a free beach access area. We will definitely come back!
Great location for family event
Lots of space in this lodge. We had 17 people and did not feel cramped although some were small children. Close to beaches and lots of activities. Had a wonderful week.
Love the Lodge
The Lodge was the perfect place for our family vacation. We enjoyed the beautiful, private setting. The house was clean and equipped with everything that we needed during the week we were there. We enjoyed grilling dinners, making s’mores, playing board and card games around the table and there was room for everyone to spread out when we needed some quiet time. Both Pentwater and Ludington had cute shops, great restaurants and gorgeous beaches. Our trip also included go carts, Putt Putt, a dune buggy ride, fishing , searching for Big Foot, and pedi manis for the girls. Thank you for sharing the Lodge with us!
The location was perfect, the right size for the entire family to be together yet not on top on one another. nestled in a forest setting with easy access to all of the amenities.
This is our 2nd stay at Bass Lake. The owner, Jim checked in several times to make sure all was ok. The porch is the best part of the house, sitting enjoying the evenings-watching the kids play in the giant sand box :). Our only issue was the air wasn't working and Jim had someone out to fix it at the earliest opportunity. We are a large family so the lodge is just the place for us.
Owner makes himself available if needed. House large enough for a big family.
