About Cynthia

WE LOVE TO SHARE THE HISTORY OF NEW ORLEANS!!!

Cynthia purchased this studio in 2012

Why Cynthia chose Downtown

We were born & raised in New Orleans but now live by the water outside of Baton Rouge. We enjoy coming back on weekends to NOLA for the best entertainment in the world!!!

What makes this studio unique

We love the safety of the area & convenience of walking to many locations. When you walk outside the Condo there is so much to see and do you won't know what direction you want to go in. Take a right and walk almost one block and across the street you will see Port Of Call. A famous hamburger resturant which is also known for its famous drink, Monsoon.

Take a left and walk about 4 blocks and you will see Frenchmen St. Take a left on Frenchmen and as you walk down the block you will have a choice of several bar and restaurants with live entertainment. If you don't take a left on Frenchmen St. then walk another block and take a right and you will be headed to the French Market. If you don't feel like heading left or right, then walk stright down Bourbon St. and get ready for the time of your life. When headed down Bourbon, stop at 941 Bourbon St. and visit the oldest bar in the U.S. 'Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Bar. It was established around 1772.

Guestbook comments from the owner

What a great way to end our challenging year! So much better than a hotel stay. We look forward to coming back to this condo or your other one on Decatar St. Thanks again for you hospitality & warmth!

This studio was absolutely wonderful!!! Location was perfect, blocks from Frenchman's Street, around the corner to the French Market, and a few blocks down to Lafitte's for the best Hurricane ever! Very clean and quiet, just as portrayed in the photos! Cindy was great to work with and responded very quickly to the few questions we had. Looking forward to next years visit!!! I would highly recommend this property.

Cant wait to go back!

The French Quarterview, is the best place I've stayed in NOLA, the location was perfect! Right on the corner of Bourbon and Esplanade, just outside of the hustle of Bourbon but still so very close. Right in the area of Royal and Frenchman Street. Clean, well kept, nicely decorated and cozy. The most perfect spot for a getaway, Laissez les bons temps rouler!

Very good location and nice and clean appartment. Two little problems : lack of a dustpan and broken fan above the stove.

Walking distance to everything we wanted

  • 5 of 5

Beautifully decorated with local art and comfortable place with a king size bed. Friendly people stopped us on the street as we were unloading and gave us some tips on what to do. They assured us that the neighborhood was safe (we felt that way walking day or night) and suggested places that the locals go. We walked 3-4 blocks to the Frenchman Street area that we liked better than Bourbon Street. We walked to the Mississippi River (fun to see the end when we have seen the beginning in Minnesota) and Jackson Square which was bustling with people, music and street entertainers. From the locals we found the cash only line for beneits at Cafe DuMonde so we could skip the blocks long regular line. Had an amazing breakfast at the Ruby Slipper and southern food at Coops. The room was wonderful - fit our needs - but the location is the real advantage (corner of Bourbon and Esplanade)

We took advantage of the laundry facilities too.

Comfortable accommodations in a stellar location

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect landing pad for a long weekend in NOLA. Wedged comfortably and quietly between the French Quarter and the Marigny, we parked our truck (for free with provided parking pass!!) upon arrival and never moved it. Easy walk to great food, art and music. Room was lovely, confortable and contained anything we might have needed. I would absolutely stay again if targeting this area of New Orleans. Great find.
