We had a really enjoyable and easy stay at 155 Noe. It became our second home for two weeks. It was very good base for the City and beyond, well connected by public transport, taxis and car. The garage was useful. Local bars, coffee shops, shops, restaraunts all very good and close. We loved all the pictures, furniture and victorian styling of the flat - it was a joy

Beautiful, Spacious, Convenient "Home Base" to Explore San Francisco

  • 5 of 5

Stayed at this flat with friends and colleagues for a week while many of us attended a conference in Union Square. While initially a bit frightened by the ~2 mile distance to the conference venue each day, public transit was a breeze and some of us even chose to take a brisk morning walk each day down Market. Lovely neighborhood close to many restaurants, grocery stores, etc. and the flat was just as described. Only issue we had was that WiFi was a little spotty, but worked ok for the most part. Overall - really enjoyed our stay and thought the place was perfect for our group, we even cooked a big dinner and ate in the spacious dining room. Having a parking space in the garage was also key as some had driven into town - but it's no joke that the garage is a little tricky to navigate, so heed the warnings about small cars only! Would definitely recommend to others - could not have found a more comfortable place for the price.

Perfect Victorian Flat

  • 5 of 5

I have been coming to San Francisco for many years and this is by far the best Flat I have ever stayed in. It is beautifully decorated and the beds and wonderful. We loved the location with the Metro being just 5 minutes away for an easy trip downtown. The surrounding streets are tree lined and it was obvious that the owners in the neighborhood take very good care of their places.

When we needed to venture out to the suburbs the use of Uber was amazing. They arrive within 3-4 minutes so keep your coat handy. There are numerous really good restaurants in the area and everything from WholeFoods,Safeway, Drugstores, etc. within a stones throw.

We will becoming back in three months. Thank you Laurie.

Birthday Fun

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time. The home was beautiful and comfortable for the entire family. It was exactly what you would hope or expect to stay in when you visit San Fran. The home was unique and beautiful down to every last detail. We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The kitchen is a great size for cooking and the dining room is large for family meals. The location was perfect near market street and we caught the Muni into downtown everyday with ease. Overall we could not be happier than our choice to stay here.

Beautiful property in a great location. Really spacious! We vacationed with our 5 kids, ages 4 to 19, and we hosted extended family dinners and movie nights with my sister, her husband, brother in law and 3 kids. We loved the high ceilings, charming architectural details (original woodwork! Nonfunctional but pretty fireplaces! Stained glass skylight at the top of the stairs!). Also the art on the walls was very interesting, many with a San Fran theme; loved the panoramic photo capturing the city on fire in the aftermath of the 1906 earthquake. Nice kitchen, not huge but the most cooking we did was oatmeal and fruit. Dining table sat 10.

We discovered the Bi Rite grocery a mile away, Safeway and Whole Foods about a half mile away. Corner liquor store just across the street was surprisingly well stocked with essentials like soy milk, Cheerios, whole wheat bread, microwave meals (even organic vegan options!). Jumpin Java coffee house a couple doors down was my morning stop in for passable coffee, and they did have vegan breakfast sandwich options.

We rented a minivan but mostly took public transportation everywhere. The crazy little garage was one of the few drawbacks to this rental...We were warned that it's small, and it wouldn't fit a "large SUV." I sent an email inquiry to be sure a regular minivan would fit, but I never got a reply...so let me tell you, it was lucky we received a Kia Sedona from Hertz, and not a Dodge Grand Caravan. The Kia barely fit, with folding one of the side mirrors down. Not only is it narrow, but then there's a 90 degree right turn a short distance in, and then a steep decline... And then you have the neighbor car to the right. If we had rented 153, there's no way our car would have fit. Backing out is definitely a 2 person job.

Another negative was an off odor, dog I think. My husband's allergies were triggered a bit.

Another minus was that many of the lightbulbs were out, and no replacements were to be found.

Overall, a charming and spacious Victorian flat in a pretty neighborhood. As to value, better than needing 2 hotel suites, and much better opportunities for family bonding. We loved it!

Fantastic !

  • 5 of 5

We had a very good stay. We booked floors 2nd and 3rd and we had a wonderful time on them for Christmas and New year eve 2013. We were a big family (15 members ) and find both flats very comfortable, well equipped and the space easy to manage for such a number of persons. It is located in a quite area and a close to shops and transportations. Both properties were clean, and ll informations accurate with the informations provided in the announce. We strongly recommend this place.
