Why Pam Stewart chose North Newport News

When our parents passed away, we didn't have a place for all of the brothers and sisters (and families) to get together. We bought this property so we'd have a place to gather, especially during the holidays. We spent quite a long time replacing mechanicals and decorating it to our liking. Since we don't use it continuously, we wanted to offer it to others so they could have a nice place to stay when they were away from home.

What makes this house unique

It you have an interest in something, you'll probably find it here. This house sits right in the middle of where you'll want to explore. It's convenient to Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. It's just minutes from Busch Gardens and Water Country. Lots of shopping too - like Prime Outlets in Lightfoot, which also has many antique stores. Like beaches? We're close to river beaches, bay beaches and not too far from Virginia Beach and oceanfront. How about Golf? You'll be just blocks from the public courses at Newport News Park and Kiln Creek. Speaking of Newport News Park - it's the largest city park this side of the MIssissippi - with canoeing, paddle boats, fishing, trails, a disc golf course and a great playground for kids. Need to be close to the bases? You'll be close to the military bases, if that's what you need: Ft Eustis is less than 3 miles away; Naval Weapons Station is about 4 miles; and the Coast Guard Training Facility is @ 7 miles. It's also convenient to Langley Air Force Base and Ft Monroe. Many of these have museums or festivals open to the public.

Guestbook comments from the owner

I stayed at this house instead of staying in the guest room of my sister's house. It was so very nice having the privacy and the run of the whole house. And this house is so clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Highly recommend.

Great House and Great Location

  • 5 of 5

This is the second year we have stayed at this house. It is nicely decorated and having a fenced in back yard for our dog was an added benefit. It is a quick drive to the Restored section of Williamsburg, VA. and other attractions. I would definitely recommend this house.

Very nice!

We had a great time staying at this property. It was easy access to Williamsburg and Jamestown. The house was very comfortable and was well stocked with basic supplies. The fenced in backyard was great for the dogs.

Wonderful property in a quiet neighborhood. Perfect for cozy get togethers.

  • 5 of 5

Well maintained and clean property both inside and out. My friends and I had no problem accommodating a small gathering at night and breakfast the following morning. Convenient access to I 64 means getting around Newport News and beyond was a breeze. My only wish was that the hot tub was in working order!

It was awesome

  • 4 of 5

I went down for homecoming and I had a blast. This is right off of 64 and not far from the mall and many restaurants. Pam was nice and extremely responsive.
