Lovely comfortable flat in a nice part of town.
Pleased with flat and holiday, would do again.
Thus was a very nice flat that had everything you need. The internet is very slow and should be upgraded. Also please consider putting a washer/dryer combination unit. When you are traveling it is hard to wait 36-48 hours fir your clothes to dry.
Thanks for this. We think that the Wifi router had a fault so this has now been replaced. We understand that a dryer would be useful however Bridget is against having a dryer due to their impact on the environment. I am sorry about that. There is a clothes drying rack in the shower room which is suspended from the ceiling - the old fashioned way before dryers came along!
New town flat
Nice place. Short walk back up to the tourist stuff. Nice and comfortable.
Great property in a great location.
An excellent base to explore all that Edinburgh has to offer. The property was comfortable, well equipped and perfectly located.
Superbly located comfort
Both for work at the University and touring afterward, I can't imagine a better located rental.
Everything I needed was there. Buses and Tesco steps away, Stockbridge and Water of Leith walk in easy walking distance.
We (3 adults) spent a lovely week in Edinburgh. We were extremely lucky with the weather, so that we spent most of our time outside.
The apartment was great to come back to in the evenings, relax, watch some tv and cook. The beds were cozy (as well as the pull-out couch) and the flat is in a calm, well-located area in Edinburgh.
The communication with Francois was great. Even before our arrival he helped us with anything we asked for.
Considering having a car, we needed parking space and we would strongly recommend to include booking the parking garage here, as the free parking on the street is only free during night hours and during this time the few spots are quickly taken by surrounding residents.
A quick note about the recycling and separation of litter: It might be a bit tough to understand for those who do not live in the UK, how and where to separate and remove the different rubbish.
All in all, we had a lovely stay and would always come back for another visit.
Cumberland Street is a quiet residential street in the historic Georgian New Town yet is just a 10 minute walk from George Street and Princes Street.
