About this property

Hello travelers! We believe we are equally as excited to open our home back up to people and give everyone something to look forward to! Considering the times we live in, we want to be transparent on our feelings and precautions as we move into a new normal.

We are doing our absolute best to help control the spread of COVID to not only our small, remote community but to everyone moving through the area to enjoy Yellowstone National Park and everything else the ecosystem has to offer. We are enforcing a 24 hour gap between all stays for future bookings. We are using disinfectants and diligently cleaning all aspects of the spaces.

We would like to encourage all visitors to choose social distancing when in the area. The local market is offering curbside pick up and many restaurants are offering take out options. Our home is well equipped for cooking or baking, so you are welcome and encouraged to enjoy the views from the house and cook at home. If there is anything in particular you would like to use, please let us know ahead of time and we will do our best to have it available.

We are eager to have open and honest conversations with our guests regarding concerns and the ever changing situation regarding COVID and travel. Please do not hesitate to reach out to update us on your travel concerns, questions or even excitements! I believe we are all looking forward to finding our new normal as a traveling community.

PARK PLACE is a tranquil spot for those looking for a home away from home while in Yellowstone Park. We offer a cozy space excellently located up from the Yellowstone River. Here you can rest after your daily adventures in our National Park and forests.

Our home has the feel of a cabin in the mountains but with the comforts of the city. We are located within walking distance from downtown Gardiner. The sleeping area is located upstairs with a balcony that opens to lovely views of the mountains. You will love the sound of the river and relaxing out there after a day of hiking or exploring the Yellowstone wonders. The main living area is downstairs (which does include the only bathroom in the rental). There is a small couch and space for eating.

Those who love fly fishing are coming to the right place. There is easy access to the Yellowstone River just down the road from our house. Park's Fly Shop is also down the street where they can give you ample information on what flies to be using and what other areas to check out.

Depending on the time of year, you might encounter visitors outside your front door such as elk, deer or bison. Bald Eagles and ospreys are often present as well. We are sure you will love staying with us as much as we enjoy living here.

Cozy Cabin on the River

We selected this property for our visit to the Gardiner area in October for a wedding. We absolutely loved the property, which was on a quiet street next to the river, and nearby the small town's main dining and shopping area. The cabin was clean and comfortable, and the hosts kind and responsive. As soon as we left, we talked about booking another stay.

Perfect cabin in the little town of Gardiner

You’ll enjoy your stay immensely. So close to the best food in Gardiner! The stairs require careful steps, but it’s all part of the fun and experience.

Just Fabulous!!

The property was absolutely amazing! It was so cute, had everything you needed, great views, and the BEST location. The house was within walking distance of the northern entrance to Yellowstone. Gardiner is was the most quaint town with anything you wanted. David was a fantastic host and quick to respond if we had any questions. Would highly recommend the house to anymore looking for a place in Gardiner.

In 1978, I was on my way to Alaska to work on the pipelines and happened to stop in Gardiner to explore the famous Yellowstone National Park. I was so taken by the beauty of Montana that I have never left. Instead of Alaska, I was hired by the National Park Service. I retired in 1984 and started working on turning my property into a place where friends and family could also come to experience the wonders of Yellowstone Park. And that includes you!

Why they chose this property

Park Place used to be a hotel for hunters in Gardiner called 'The Cottage Inn'. Bill bought it in 1980 because he saw the potential of turning the place into something that incorporated the Pioneer spirit of the West with the all the comforts of a city. I found a diamond in the rough and have worked since then to polish it into a unique home.

What makes this property unique

Park Place sits uniquely just downstream from the convergence of the Gardner and the Yellowstone Rivers. It sits beneath Eletric Peak, surrounded by majestic mountains ' where the deer and the antelope play'.
