Our family enjoyed being together in such a beautiful place. The house was wonderful and the view was amazing.
We are so glad you enjoyed. Hope you can visit again!
Rate 4.5 would be 5 with air condition
The view was beautiful and location was great for a wedding we were attending in Cohasset. Nantasket Beach area was a quaint town with good restaurants. We enjoyed breakfast/ lunch at Saltwater Diner and dinner at Jake’s. The home was clean and beautiful. I would have rated it a 5 but even in October, coming from HOTlanta, GA, there was a need for air conditioning a couple of the days. Nights were cooler so opening the windows and listening to the waves while sleeping was perfect. Neighbors were friendly and watching the surfers early morning was a treat. Jeanne was friendly and responsive. I would definetly recommend it, just know that there is no air condition or if there is, it wasn’t on, as the home HVAC system is controlled by a Nest.
Great location, but caution, NO Air Conditioning!
This rating reflects our unpleasant stay from the hot/humid condition experienced throughout the week from lack of air conditioning at this residence. Otherwise the location is absolutely beautiful and we loved the area (i.e., "5" rating with AC). The residence only had ceiling fans and natural sea winds to contend with to manage temperature/humidity. The week averaged mid 80's and humid (70-80%). Humidity was the killer as everything felt wet especially as we tried to sleep. We coped by taking cold showers before we went to bed. My wife and sister-in-law were in absolute agony as did not get a decent sleep through the night (women seemed more sensitive, and btw, we are from the south, Maryland). We had all the windows open and all the fans on max setting at all times. One day, there was hardly any wind, that was not a good day to say the least. Also the adjacent residents did have AC units, i.e., the adjacent unit under construction was actually installing one during our stay! And the next residence had their AC running most of the week. I deduce from this that AC is an essential equipment for this area. I strongly feel that your site should have been right up front citing that AC was NOT available. With this info, we may or may not have chosen this site but at the least, we would have had our expectation managed correctly rather than having arrived at the site and be surprised. Richard
Vacationed here from London with my two children for a family reunion. Had an absolutely fabulous time. Who wouldn't love to wakeup to that amazing view every morning. Very clean and comfortable cannot wait to return! Owners were very friendly and accommodating!
Beach Overlook in Lovely Home
We visited for a week to attend a 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration. Included our son and spouse and our daughter, spouse and 2 grandchildren. All 8 fit nicely into the house. Hosted several informal family get togethers on the porch overlooking beach and ocean. Greatly enjoyed by all!!!
What a beautiful home :-) Comfortable, newly renovated, clean, and fantastic views. Beautiful area...close enough to Boston...yet far enough away. Great places to eat right in Hull. During the week you can take the Harbor express Ferry to Boston. Definitely hoping to go back some day soon!
Boardwalk offers shopping, restaurants and arcades along the 3 mile beach. The bordering town of Hingham has a quaint center with shopping and many dining options, along with a Marina full of shops, restaurants and a movie theater. The ferry located close to the house will take you into Boston where your opportunities are endless.
