About Lorna Leedy, owner
I am a clothing, jewelry & interiors designer and until 2012 had a store in Marfa called Fancy Pony Land. The store featured my clothing, jewelry and artwork as well as work by artist friends from Marfa and around the country and was featured in Vogue as one of their 20 favorite stores in 20 cities in 2011. The house reflects this artist-made sensibility. We now live in a cabin on Lake Crescent in Olympic National Park in Washington. I work out of a studio in the tiny town of Joyce on the Strait of Juan De Fuca. We lived in Marfa for 5 years and were super sad to leave the coolest small town in America and some of the world's best people. We come back whenever we can but when we're not there you can enjoy Marfa and the house for us.

Why Lorna Leedy, owner chose Marfa
We fell in love with Marfa after living in the tiny village of Redford (SE of Marfa on the Rio Grande) for 5 winters. It was really the people of Marfa and the good friends we made there that made us want to buy a house. This house was a good cute fixer-upper project for us. Just when we got it fixed up perfectly, we moved!
What makes this House unique
Marfa is a truly unique town that combines the sophistication and culture of a big city with the sweetness, friendliness and safety of a small town. People look out for one another and there is always something interesting going on. It is a town full of artists, characters and Texas tall tales.

Weekend in Marfa
Lovely home, and beautiful weekend for a getaway. House was clean, lots of light coming in the windows, cozy backyard, and friendly neighborhood cat ❤️
Perfect Marfa Vibe
Simple but with vintage, contemporary and mid century touches. No nonsense comfort. Really enjoyed.
We had a great time!
Perfect location and very nice, clean house. Love the built-in couch!
Relaxing and wonderful!
My husband and I spend a glorious four days here for a long weekend, and had the most relaxing and beautiful time. The house is so creatively done, and welcoming. It was cold when we arrived, and the house took a day or two to warm up using the wood stove and gas heaters (one of which struggled a bit to stay on)...but it was really just a great excuse to curl up in front of the stove with blankets and relax. We spent every spare minute in the back yard, swinging in the hammock and the sunshine during the day. We are truly grateful for this sweet house and our time in Marfa seeing the art, and eating yummy food!
Marfa is a mecca for minimalist and contemporary art pilgrims, writers, artists, film makers, collectors etc. It's a small town with big art, a great bookstore, great food, amazing artists and craftsmen and super friendly, interesting people.
