Beautiful, extremely clean and updated with easy lake access and beautiful views. Also very secluded
Very impressed!! We plan to rent again. Easy to find, 15-20 min ride to food and attractions. 5 min ride to Jenkins beach where we enjoyed a beautiful beach day and pontoon boat rental for a very reasonable price.
Great value for a wonderful vacation
This place is really just what you need for a family vacation get away. It’s clean, spacious, allows for family meals and together time but also room to spread out and do your own thing. The lake access is absolutely wonderful and a fun way for kids (and adults) to enjoy the water when the nearby ocean is just a little too chilly. Our kids loved the kayaks! The lake access is situated in a little private cove from the rest of the lake - perfect! One note, in the summer it does get pretty warm/humid with no AC, especially the top floor. It was difficult to sleep 2 nights during our stay - first week of August - but fine the rest of the nights. We purchase a small fan for the bedroom and left it for others to use. Overall, this is a great vacation house!
Relaxing! July 21 to July 29 2017
Traveling with a large group can be pretty challenging. The house was very nice. clean, spacious. Very accommodating for a group of eight. The Privacy was amazing. We pretty much had the lake to ourselves. The owners supplied us with a canoe, floats. Private dock. We fished and swam off the dock. We were able to use the canoe. So peaceful... The landscape of the property was beautiful. At night we enjoyed the fire pit. About a 45 Minute ride to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We all had a great time. I would love to rent this property again in the near future....
This is not a lakefront property and is not on Green Lake.
The house was nice. The description is misleading, this property is not on Green Lake and you can't get to Green Lake from Little Rocky Pond which is where this property is located.
Comfortable, clean, and absolutely perfect!
My husband and I have been using VRBO for the past 6 years... honeymoon, vacations... most were pretty good experiences, except for one which was horrible and definitely scarred us, but the experience we had staying here was exceptional! We were a little bummed out when we found out our honeymoon cabin in Maine was booked up all summer, and we eventually picked this house even though there were no reviews. I am so glad things worked out the way they did! Our trip was perfect, and honestly the house was 10 times better than I had hoped for. The pictures on the site do not do it justice, nor do they show you how peaceful and relaxing it is. The house itself is clean, and very comfortable with everything you could need. The thing I loved the most about the actual house (besides it being so clean) were all of the windows that let in so much natural light, and let in so much fresh air! My husband and I took our 3 kids and the house had more than enough room for all of us. We spent so much time outside on the lake or exploring we never even turned on the tv. The views of the lake are so much better than what you see in the pictures. We had so much fun canoeing on the lake! It was also so close to both sides of Acadia that we went hiking there 3 different days! We had not taken a vacation in 4 years and coming here was worth the wait. It was exactly what we needed, and we were so sad to leave.
Our family had a fabulous stay at this very private and beautiful lakeside cabin/house! Canoeing, swimming, fishing, and sitting by the campfire were our favorite activities. There were no other vessels on this private lake the entire week and there were only about 5 to 6 other houses on the lake. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and updated with modern appliances and conveniences. Our only challenge was that the cabin did not have AC nor any ceiling or floor fans that would have been helpful several days when the temperature exceeded 80 degrees. So we purchased inexpensive personal fans and were fine. There were no fishing poles provided so we purchased a couple of poles and bait/tackle and our kids had a great time fishing on the dock, canoe, and on top of large rocks located throughout the lake. We would definitely stay here again!
Acadia National park just 30 miles away, just miles away is major shopping, lumber jack show, water park and so much more. Come and enjoy fresh Maine lobsters right off the dock. Take a tour on a maine fishing boat, whale watching or go sailing.
