About Cameron Roe

My wife and I, along with 2 boys bought our dream condo in Solitude! As a transplanted Canadian, I know snow, and the snow at Solitude is amazing. We live down at the bottom of Big Cottonwood Canyon so are just a stones throw away if you have any issues so come on up and enjoy your stay!

Cameron Roe purchased this condo in 2013

Why Cameron Roe chose Utah

The one bedroom & den combination is the perfect situation for a family or friends. Not too big and expensive but still roomy and comfortable. We've tried to put everything in the room that you could want for a family ski trip (including Xbox!) but if there is anything you need just call.

What makes this condo unique

While the winter is amazing and the snow the best in the world, you really should try the summers up in Solitude. Nice and cool at 8500 feet to beat the heat of the Salt Lake valley, yet close enough to go out to shows and theaters.

Lovely spot right in the villiage at Solitude

Beautiful condo. Great place to kick back after a day of skiing.

The kitchen has all of the right tools, including a crock pot!

We had 3 people staying here, so we each had our own bed. The place is a little small, so make sure you share this place with people you're friends with. The bunks are right outside the bathroom and right next to the kitchen. Technically, it does sleep 7, but I can't imagine trying to pack that many people in.

As I said, we enjoyed our stay. I'd go back.

Great Condo in Solitude Village... Excellent!!!

  • 5 of 5

This Solitude condo was absolutely perfect for our short ski trip to Utah. It is a 1 minute walk to the lift and an even shorter walk to the Thirsty Squirrel bar and Club Solitude Hot Tub & Sauna. Cam was an awesome host, and the condo is set with everything that you need for a great stay. Kitchen was equipped with everything that we needed to cook a full breakfast before hitting the slopes. Condo has a great TV and the Wi-Fi was strong enough to stream Netflix on the Xbox 360. Underground parking is more than convenient. Solitude Mountain Resort is not HUGE but it must be the most under-rated mountain in all of Utah - and I will 100% return to this excellent unit with an owner that really does a great job. Thanks Again, Joe in Columbus, Ohio

Great location, great hill, hidden gem in Utah

  • 5 of 5

Took a family ski trip with two teens who had never been out West, and had not alpine skied much. The condo is is tight for four, but the ski in ski out location made up for the close quarters. Kids loved the pool and hot tub, while my wife and I had an apres ski drink at the Squirrel. Nicely stocked spice rack, we would have cooked more, but didn't stop at Paul's grocery before the drive up the canyon, and then couldn't be bothered to drive back down when the conditions were so awesome at Solitude.

Great property! We really ennoyed our stay!

  • 5 of 5

We traveled there, 1 adult and 2 kids for a long weekend. This place was great. It had everything we needed to cook meals with. The place was comfy and it was nice having the board games. We could've used a bit more space for unpacking, there isn't much in the way for drawers and what not for 3 people, especially with all of the ski gear. But it was great and we'd stay there again for sure. Thanks!

Owner's Response: We are glad you enjoyed your stay. There are two large drawers under the bunk bed but they are hard to spot. "Note to self", include that in our welcome letter. We hope to see you again!

This property was exactly what was needed for the perfect summer vacation. All the comforts of home plus some. The unit was clean, stocked with all of the necessities, plus room for our own items. The live music on the weekends were a bonus. Everyone loved the pool. Morning hikes were spectacular. Thank you for allowing us to stay and giving us the perfect get away!!
