About Terry & Chris Jones
We both grew up in Illinois, but we have lived in Florida for many years. We have two sons, one who lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife and two children, and another who lives in Washington, DC. After retiring from our jobs in teaching and real estate development, we decided to look for a place on the water where we could relax, fish, enjoy beautiful scenery and most importantly spend time with family and friends.
Terry & Chris Jones purchased this Cabin in 2017
Why Terry & Chris Jones chose Mineral
Our youngest son introduced us to Lake Anna several years ago and we began spending our vacations there. We loved being on the lake and enjoyed the many amenities and historical significance of the surrounding area. When we found White Tail Hollow, we were immediately taken by its tranquility and beauty. It is the perfect place to relax, recharge and reconnect with loved ones!
What makes this Cabin unique
This quiet property offers an easy walk to the water where there is a dock from which you can launch a row boat, canoe or kayak (all provided). We also have swimming, bicycles and hiking. There are several marinas where you can rent a pontoon boat, or you can just relax on the deck and bird watch (during the winter months it's not uncommon to see a Bald Eagle gliding up the cove looking for a meal). Whitetail Hollow really is a special place.

We had such a wonderful stay. The cabin felt secluded because you are surrounded by more tree cover than many other homes. This also made it much cooler on a very hot week (we live an hour away and the temperature and humidity were brutal there but we were very comfortable). We had so much fun on the lake. The dock has wooden stairs that made entering the lake much easier than the ladder for people with some mobility issues. It was exactly what we were looking for. Terry responded right away to email and we will definitely visit again.
I believe that this is our 5th or 6th time staying in this cabin. Arriving every year is like we are coming home to the lake. We love the peace and quiet of the location, not to mention the ease of access to our boat and the water. We have never used the TV, we are too busy doing nothing... :-)
Perfect for families
My kids and I had so much fun staying at this property. Beautiful location, well stocked kitchen, and lots of fun extras like the kayaks and slide off the dock. For the price, this place is a steal.
An Incredible Experience!
This was our first trip down to Lake Anna. We did not know what to expect and we were quite unfamiliar with the location. But, Terry and Chris made our stay very easy and welcoming. They have a ton of amenities and very useful information on the lake. The house was nestled in a “No Wake” cove which made paddle boarding and swimming very nice and safe! Having access to a boat launch very close to the house made it easy to get our boat in and out of the water. Everything about our stay was incredible. We would definitely love to come back in the future!
Family Time ❤️
This was such a beautiful property and I am definitely hoping to be able to stay here again. My family spent a week at the cabin and we never left! There was no reason to! Everything we could possibly need was available to us. Our kids (12yr old & 8 yr old twins) loved getting to jump of the dock and use the kayaks. The lake was calm and peaceful and we were able to catch endless amounts of fish in the early evenings. We spent such amazing quality family time together and loved every second of it! We highly recommend this property!
Our family of 4 enjoyed our week at the house. It was the perfect size for the us with plenty of room to spread out. We spent a lot of our time out on the lake and the dock was just big enough for us to dock our 23 foot boat.
Terry was great to work with and provided all the needed information up front. The few questions I did have he was quick to answer and was very pleasant to talk to.
