Loved this spot in Kauai
We absolutely loved staying in this property. The top floor room had great views. It met all of our needs for our vacation. It was a very comfortable room and we could not have been happier staying here. The location was probably our favorite thing about it. It is right next door to restaurants, shopping and rental businesses. We rented beach cruiser bikes next door and had a shaved ice afterward. There is an ABC store in the coconut market area. It is centrally located on the island so you have quick access to everything you want to do on the island. The beach was very nice and peaceful. The owner was very great to work with. We had clear instructions and everything was very easy to deal with so we didn't have to contact the owner for any reason. We booked a boat snorkeling trip thru the activities desk and they were wonderful to deal with. We really enjoyed the time we spent in the room and had an amazing vacation. We will definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Kauai.
Matt, so happy it worked out well for you all! KrellersGetaway appreciates the comprehensive review and are honored to have accommodated. Until the next time.........ALOHA!
Great place to stay with a great view!
We loved staying here! Loved the ocean view and all the amenities close by.
Keith, thanks so much for allowing KrellersGetaway to accommodate! Means a lot to us. Mahalo!
Perfect place, great view and location
Missing paradise and breakfast on my balcony watching the waves. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Melita
Mahalo Melita for your response. Yes, nothing beats paradise and the waves crashing nearly at your feet!
Amazing Beach Front Stay
Had a perfect vacation here, would love to do it again in the future!
Charlie, thank you for allowing KrellersGetaway to accommodate! Would be honored to do it again in the future. Mahalo!
We love the Aston Islander property have been staying there for years
The Aston is always our choice for lodging on Kauai the only problem we had this time is our fan in the bathroom was quite noisy I reported it but it never was fixed. The other problem we had was there was an air conditioner that made a very loud winding noise somewhere close to our unit. It was noisy day & night which kept us awake . I reported it
to housekeeping several times but they never resolved the issue. We were kinda surprised since it must have disturbed other guests as well. Hopefully by letting you know this will not occur again because like I said we really usually enjoy our stay there. My only other comment would be there was too much stuff in that cold it seemed a little crampt.
Lada, thank you for the feedback. The only issue we can control within the unit is the loud fan in the bathroom. The other issues are out of our control, unfortunately, as they are out of our jurisdiction. But, thank you for bringing up the fan issue and will definitely contact Maintenance about that.
We loved staying at this room near kapa'a. We loved the private beach and being able to walk to the store or restaurants when needed. Great place!
GREAT to hear, Melissa! Glad it all worked out. KrellersGetaway appreciates you allowing us to accommodate. Mahalo!
Smith Family Luau is cool. A bit pricey but a neat experience. We took a Catamaran around Na Pali and it was very nice. So much to do, but must budget as some of the stuff gets expensive. Heck, you could even rent bikes there at the shops at Islander and just ride up north. They just finished miles and miles of a biking trail along the ocean. Good stuff! Snorkeling and beach fun right down the street at Lydgate Park.
Another post from a guest:
IF MONEY IS NO OBJECT - Birds of Paradise is the thing to do !! These are the powered hang gliders which are also well described in the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook. It’s hard to describe the feeling and sensation of being out in the open like that and being able to see everything. It’s not cheap though. I think for our 2 rides and pictures, it was almost $800 !! Also, check out Jack Harter’s helicopters, open door. We’ve heard it’s one of the highlights on the island!
Check out http://www.coconutcoasters.com/. Nice trail and you can rent the bikes in Kapa’a town, a nice walk from the complex. Read about Lydgate Park below as well.
Places around the area with great swimming: 1) down the road to Kealia Beach on the other side of Kapa’a town, 2) Wailua at the Coco Palms where there are lifeguards at both but also lots of people, and 3) Lydgate Park about a mile south and great for swimming and snorkeling. You can bike (10-15 minutes) or walk (25-30 minutes) from our complex. It is a GREAT beach and a must see. Ask us about quickest most direct way to get there from our complex, if you choose to bike or walk.
Also, out of the area, Poipu Beach is great for swimming (albeit, busy). Up north, check out Tunnels Beach and Ke’e Beach. All of these places can be seen in the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook.
Just discovered this beach: Kalihiwai Beach; AMAZING! In Ultimate Kauai Guidebook as well.
