About Jolene Clarke
The Clarke family is the second generation to own this one of a kind, historic charmer. The original owner was my mother, Jolene Smith, who fulfilled her dream of having a weekend cabin in Lake Arrowhead in 1995. She loved the yearly wildflowers that surround the cabin, thus the name. Sadly, my mom passed away in 2009. We are forever grateful that she left us with so many great memories and also her most prized possession, The Wildflower Cabin. About us, Gary is from New Jersey and had a career in Medicine and retired in 1999. Me, Jolene, named after my mom, I am a native Californian who grew up 'down the hill,' in Redlands. I attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where I received a degree in Interior Design and a teaching credential. I taught Middle School Consumer Economics for 10 years and have worked as and Interior Designer in California, Costa Rica and Nicaragua. We now live in Tamarindo, Costa Rica where we own and operate our family business, Villa Andalucia Designer Hotel. Our son Brooks, who has spent most of his life growing up in Costa Rica, works with us. Brooks is our amazing tour guide, boat Capitan and surf instructor. Brooks is also an incredible fly and real fisherman, free diver and all around waterman. Brooks is the Capitan of the “Pica Pica.” in Tamarindo. We are a family run business, come see us in Tamarindo if you ever decide to put Costa Rica on your vacation destination list, we would love to have you. Hospitality is what we do!

Why Jolene Clarke chose Crest Estates
It’s no accident that Lake Arrowhead is the getaway choice for Southern Californians and vacationers from around the word. I have been coming here since I was a child and have so many great memories. I am thrilled that I have a small retreat for two to enjoy and love staying here myself on our vacations. There is nothing more beautiful than the Alpine styled Lake Arrowhead Village covered in snow in the winter or the glistening sun on Lake Arrowhead in the summer. Come see for yourself.
What makes this Cabin unique
When I drive up and see The Wildflower Cabin it puts a huge smile on my face, I know it will do the same for you. With one bedroom and one bath this cabin is perfect for two people. The best part is that it is a single story with no stairs to climb! I love having the dutch door open and hearing the birds sing in the trees. There is nothing better than cooking up pancakes on the griddle on a cold winter morning with a fresh brewed cup of Costa Rican coffee that I leave for our guest to enjoy. The location is perfect as you can be anywhere, the lake, golf, antiquing, hiking, fishing and skiing or snowboarding in just minutes.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
We had a great few days
Perfect getaway for my husband and I and our two small dogs!
When we first stepped into the cabin, it was if Jolene had invited into her home for the weekend. It was warm and inviting. She's thought of every little detail to make your stay comfortable. We packed dog bowls, didn't need them. Jolene had them for us. She's even got toys for your fur babies! From the warm comfy blankets in the basket next to the couch, to the lotions and tissues she's provided, it's a home away from home. Far enough from the village that you don't have to deal with all the traffic and people, but close enough (3 miles) you can drive to the shops and restaurants in minutes. Her cabin is surrounded by trees, a tranquil retreat from the city where you are be surrounded by the sights, smells, and sounds of nature. She's put bird feeders out, so when you take some seed with you! We took birdseed for the birds and nuts (unsalted) for the squirrels :) A perfect hideaway!! Jolene was a pleasure from the moment we booked, before our visit and after our departure. We will definitely be back!!!

The Wildflower cabin was perfect for my husband, myself and our 2 dogs. Close to trails for hiking, village for shopping and the lake for beauty. Having access to the lake is a plus. The only suggestion I have is the air fresheners around the cabin were to "smelly," for our liking, maybe changing to a lighter scent if necessary? The overall condition of the cabin was clean and well maintained. We will be booking again. Thank you.
We loved it!
The first day it snowed...beautiful, warm & cozy!!!
Magical place to stay for a romantic weekend
This is our third time staying here but definitely not our last.
A charming little cozy cabin in the woods. It was perfect for getting us into the Christmas spirit.
We had a wonderful few days at Jolene’s cabin. She had it decorated for Christmas and left us holiday plates and mugs for our visit. Our pup enjoyed lounging fireside with us, and going on walks through the giant pine trees. You can tell that Jolene puts a lot of thought into the decor and there is a nice mix of modern amenities along with rustic charm. We wish we had stayed longer and hope to be back soon.
Our beautiful one story Cabin is located in Crest Estates where it sits on a flat, 1/3 acre lot with beautiful trees. There is green space all around us and beautiful old trees abound. You do not even have to leave our area to take a long beautiful hike in the forest. However, when you are ready to have some sun and fun, The Lake Arrowhead Village is only 1.5 miles, a 3 minute drive away. The Wildflower Cabin is the perfect combination of peaceful mountains and Lake activities. We have Lake rights so you have access to the trails around the Lake or you can fish and or enjoy the Beach Clubs.
