Having grown up in Santa Barbara, I truly appreciate everything that has made this town such a wonderful place. Its history, its people, its surroundings. Having traveled the world as a TV producer and director, I can honestly say, it is hard to find a better year-round destination anywhere. A spacious apartment in a great location

The apartment was lovely and a lot bigger than we expected. It's walkable from shops and bars from state and David was very helpful through our stay.

Excellent apartment, a short walk away from State Street, restaurants, cafes, shops!

This is a very nice second floor open-floor-plan unit with a feel of calm and of simple, not overpowering, elegance! Very nicely appointed, with thoughtful touches, both design-wise and convenience-wise. Very clean, too! The unit is a 10 or 15 minute easy walk to the State Street area with many shops, restaurants, cafes. Parking is great. A very nice place to hang out, too - calming greenery outside the windows. Check-in and out was very nice and very responsive! We were there just for a short weekend trip, Friday afternoon to Monday morning - wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you to Gonzalo and to David, the owner, whom we never actually met in person!

Never gets old!

This is the second time we've stayed at the Penthouse, and we were as delighted this time as the last. The owner and manager are attentive, and the Penthouse is immaculate. It easily accommodated my husband and myself, along with our 20 year old son (our daughter and her fiancé stayed in a studio on the same property, which was also nice). We entertained some friends and family who were in Santa Barbara that weekend and the expansive deck allowed us to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful view. All in all, great value and can't wait to return!

My family and I can't be happier with the experience we had at this beautiful, amazing place. the house is perfectly located, bright, clean, well maintenance,

everything was properly positioned, we felt like home . We were in Santa Barbara for my son's wedding and every place we had to be was only 10 minutes away from home, Thanks David and Gonzalo, even when I haven't had the opportunity to meet , I was able to see thru your property, both exquisite taste!

TASTEFUL, OPEN AND AIRY

We spent a week here and enjoyed it very much. Took the Airbus from LAX, very efficient and comfortable, pickup and drop-off right at your terminal, highly recommend. There are always taxis at the end to take you to your VRBO. The owners live 3 houses away from the VRBO and were friendly and forthcoming with info about the place. Very comfortable King bed, nice linens, big windows, everything SQUEAKY CLEAN and in excellent state of repair. We were hoping to get along without a car and we could have, but it was not very convenient to rely on public transport. It is .6 miles to the Starbucks on State Street (the main shopping/dining area) and there is no actual grocery store within walking distance. Once you get to State Street you can take the shuttle (50 cents, 25 for seniors) runs every 15 min. Takes you to the wharf and beach. You can take the MTD bus to Butterfly Beach (GORGEOUS!) in Montecito ($1.75, 85 cents/seniors) but it only runs once an hour. Ultimately we rented a car from Enterprise (just off State Street) for a few days so we could get around more easily. Recommend Jeannine's American Breakfast (walking distance .7 mi) on Figuerero St—we went there EVERY DAY! Just lovely! We also enjoyed the Longboard's Grill atop the Harbor Restaurant on the wharf. It is open-air, surrounded by water, reasonable prices for good seafood. (Try the clam chowder and the shrimp tacos and the warm berry pie a la mode.) We ate there almost every day too. Just what these ocean-starved Denverites needed.

Very nice property in a quiet location close to everything in Santa Barbara

Our four day stay at this property with another couple was most enjoyable and relaxing. The owners provided just about everything we needed in the way of necessities for our four days in Santa Barbara. Owners provided soap and shampoos, paper products, even coffee and dish detergent. We found the Property Manager and owner easy to contact and most accommodating. The property was very clean, nicely appointed, and we enjoyed the great mountain views. There are no ocean views as one might think looking at the preview photos. There are actually four small patios to enjoy in this property located in a quiet neighborhood. Although there are two "sleeping areas", it should be noted that this property is essentially a large studio apartment with "sleeping areas" at either end of the large penthouse room. The bedrooms are not rooms as such, and we did not fully realize this when we rented the property. Couples sharing this property who might want complete privacy in their sleeping area should make note of this set up. It worked for us, however these sleeping arrangements may present a problem for others sharing this property with others.
