Built in the 1750s and given a 2-year loving restoration to preserve original architectural details and integrate modern amenities, the villa has a lush central courtyard with a 40' long pool to cool off on hot afternoons.

Casa Blanca is the best located home in Granada. Situated at the top end of the pedestrianised Calle La Calzada the home is right next door to Granada's famous cathedral and just steps from the bustling central park.
== Accommodations ==
The home features five bedrooms in the following arrangement- A second floor en-suite master bedroom, with a king-size bed. Two double bedrooms each with a queen sized bed and en-suite bathroom. One family suite which is a regular double bedroom that opens onto a twin bedroom. The twin bedroom in the family suite doubles up as a TV room. The fifth bedroom located beyond the kitchen on the ground floor is suitable for a live in nanny or maid and has a single bed, private bathroom, fridge and TV. The living areas are organised around the extensive corridors. The main corridor features an antique rocking chair and coffee table set comfortably laid out beneath a powerful ceiling fan. There is another more relaxed seating area situated the opposite end of the pool to the main dining area. The home has two classical colonial living rooms with doors direclty into the pedestrianised Calle La Calzada.

The home is thoroughly well furnished with exquisite furniture from the local manufacturer Simplamente Madera, who use only the very finest certified hard woods. Homelife within Casa Blanca inevitably evolves around the kitchen table - and the kitchen table in Casa Blanca is a truly spectacular piece of woodwork. With seating space for 14 adults you will marvel at its immensity and quality in equal measure. The home also boasts numerous 50' TV's and iPod docking stations.

I can't say this enough, the house is beautiful!! This house is very safe and secure. Casa Blanca is located on the main road of all the bars and restaurants. Hope to go back one day.

I had the pleasure of staying ar the casa blanca with my familly.... This property is even better in real life. The location is amazing....you can't be more in the centre of the action yet you can relax in a very private surrounding.... The house is BEAUTIFUL and huge! I highly recommend this location
A beautiful house in a great location in the heart of Granada
We were a group of 10 :2 sisters with each a family of 4 (with young adults) and our parents .
The house was perfect. Each couple had their own room with private bath and the kids shared the family suite which was perfect. The house is big enough that we can either sit together or split up in the different salons so to have our private time if we wish to. I have to mention the beautiful wooden table in the dining space that can easily sit 12 people at a time and has the view of the pool, plants and flowers of the grounds . The pictures don't do the house justice. You have to see it to a appreciate it. Also Guadeloupe, makes sure that the house stays clean and tidy.
The house is greatly situated in the heart of Granada. A couple of steps from Parque Central and the Cathedrale and at the beginning of the pedestrian street « La calle La Calzada". The latter was great for our young adults that could go out and chill at the many small bars and terrasses near by.
We staid 4 days, and had time to do the many activities that are around (boat trip to the islas, apoyo lagoon, Masaya volcano, Masaya market , Los Pueblos Blancos, the Catarina mirador and just walking and appreciating the beauty of Granada). Activities that were suggested by Guillermo.
Coming back to the house and just lazing in the pool was an absolute must. This just added a bonus to our days. Not to mention that when you are in the pool you have a view of the dome of the Cathedrale. Breathless!!!
Do not hesited a moment renting this house and if you want some advice, rent it longer that we did. ;-)
Beautiful Colonial house in Granada.
This has to be one of the nicest homes in Granada. It is very large and extremely well designed. The renovation is given the house all of the necessary modern conveniences and the quality of the management and the housekeeping is superb. Guillermo is an extremely responsible owner who maintains excellent communication throughout the rental process. The attention to detail in the house indicates someone with a very fine architectural and design eye. The kitchen is stocked with all necessary silverware and cooking ware for a good size group. Having purified ice is of great convenience in the refrigerator. We did have an air conditioning unit go down on a Sunday and the after hours staff was able to bring in a repair technician within several hours to get the unit working again. It was an example of a well functioning management group. There is parking for one small car in the house garage but otherwise parking is a bit of a hassle in Granada. We elected to use supervised indoor parking near the house for our vehicles. You are right in the center of town and there are many eating and entertainment options available. The cost and quality of the accommodation compares very favorably to a hotel when you have a larger group. I cannot recommend the Casablanca enough to someone who is visiting Granada Nicaragua.
Second time's a charm too
This visit was the second time we have stayed in Casa Blanca. Our first visit was almost two years ago. We thought the house was spectacular then, and it still is. The property is meticulously maintained and the open courtyard is more lush than before. We are a group of 4 friends (men) who travel regularly to Nicaragua to get away from the hustle and bustle of the good old USA. On past trips we have enjoyed boat tours, exploring the countryside, markets, etc. often each going our own way. This time we spent most of our visit enjoying the house and la calle la Calzada (Gringo Street) right outside our door. The pool is spotless and got multiple uses each day. Guadalupe, the housekeeper/onsite manager, keeps the floors, bathrooms, bedrooms, furniture, appliances all squeaky clean. The rental management agency, GPS, was extremely responsive to our needs and is right across the street. We had difficulty with one of the front locks and after they looked at it, it was replaced in less than an hour, which included cutting the lock out of the metal gate and welding a new one in and repainting everything to match. They even keyed the new lock to our keys. The owners Guillermo and Melanie have a gem of a house that we will return to every visit to Granada.

CANCELLATIONS - Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty (except for any bank/credit card transaction costs associated issuing a refund). Cancellations that are made between sixty (60) and thirty
(30) days prior to the arrival date will incur a 50% penalty (plus any bank/credit card transaction costs associated issuing a refund). Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment and reservation deposit. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent.
