Phenomenal experience! Super clean and cozy. Beautiful winter time views. Will come back!
Such a cute place in such a beautiful location. Great view of the rolling wisconsin hills from a cozy mountain cabin. Great master suites with a jacuzzi tub overlooking the mountain valleys. Enjoyed sitting by the fire enjoying the view. Great hiking. Just wish we had remembered our shotgun to shoot some targets on the spacious property.
I am so glad you guys enjoyed your stay!! Being medical students, I’m guessing it was much needed. Thanks for all you do for people! 🙂
Spent a weekend here with 6 adults, 1 kid, and a dog. There was plenty of space for everyone, and the cabin still felt very cozy! We will definitely be back!
Beautiful property. Loved the tranquility!!
We enjoyed our weekend stay. It was very remote and off the beaten track. The amenities were nice and fit with the rustic cabin feel. Jennifer was quick to respond to messages both before and during our stay. Please note that the basement bedroom (two queens) has an outside entrance as well. We felt uncomfortable with our children sleeping downstairs with the entry door. The loft does not have a shower, just the jacuzzi tub with a handheld shower wand. Not the end of the world as there are two other full bathrooms.
We did experience some issues. The toilet in the loft did not stop running and required that we turn off the water to it in order to sleep. There was only sufficient silverware for four people when the place is able to sleep 8. Both of these issues were brought to Jennifer’s attention and she stated they would be addressed. Additionally, one of the legs on a dining room chair was wobbly upon arrival and part way through our stay gave way. Luckily, I was not hurt but upon looking at the underside of the chair, it appeared that a repair had been attempted unsuccessfully. This too was shared with Jennifer.
The property was unlocked upon arrival which worked well. Please note that if you desire to secure the property during your stay, it would be advised to request instructions on how to unlock the front door from Jennifer before doing so. We locked the front door using keypad and then could not gain access when we returned until Jennifer responded.
I would recommend there being a welcome sheet or binder of information. We found the keypad entry code and WiFi pass on a little piece of scratch paper the second day of our stay.
Thank you for your comments. Although... there is a binder with all of this information in the living room that is labeled clearly. The keypad on the outside of the door is actually quite simple to work and no other guests in over a year have had issues with it. We looked at the toilet upstairs and all that one needed to do was make sure the toilet handle was up which needed no fixing. Most walk out basements have a door that goes to to the outside, which this one does lock so it was plenty safe for children to sleep downstairs. It’s not a resort and for 189 a night having as many people as you had there, I feel there were plenty of amenities for you and your family. Also there was plastic silverware in the cupboard next to the refrigerator if there wasn’t enough. I counted and there was enough for 7 people. I apologize if you felt this rental wasn’t up to your standards but I feel all of your comments were quite petty. I feel you should look for a full service resort next time you are looking for a vacation getaway.
Perfect place for a retreat
Only 5 stars because 6 was not an option! Ridgehaven is a perfect place for a peaceful retreat. The home is in pristine condition, the beds are super comfy, and Jennifer is amazing to work with! Cannot rave enough. So glad to bring in the New Year in such a perfect place. Oh, and did I mention the bald eagles flying right past the windows? - wow! Already planning a return trip,
Well stocked kitchen with all you could need for preparing meals. Gorgeous views. Even better were the wild turkey and deer that roamed the land. Thanks so much for making our family outing special.
Your’re welcome.. I’m so glad to hear you and your family enjoyed your trip and the property!
Happy new Year
Perfect for Group Getaways!
We booked this property for a "Friendsgiving" and could not be more happy with our stay. Jen and Jess were awesome and provided great suggestions for food in town. Some of the group's favorite things about the home itself is the comfy beds, fireplace, the cleanliness, and how quiet the property is. This was absolutely perfect and would recommend to anyone considering a getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city!
