We love our gorgeous mountain retreat and hope you will too. This is a modern and well appointed home with all the goodies. TOTALLY new kitchen as of 2021, including Cambria countertops, custom cabinets, floating shelves, beautiful new flooring, ALL NEW VIKING APPLIANCES (range, refrigerator, dishwasher, beverage center, microwave), new carpet and paint, mountain-themed fixtures, new furniture and new bedding await you. Enjoy sitting by the fireplace on our deep leather sectional couch or recliner. Quality high-end furniture and mountain fixtures throughout the home including a grand moose chandelier over the formal dining table. The oversized back deck includes BBQ, redwood picnic table with sun umbrella and a Hot Springs spa. The front deck includes recliners and side tables. The living room entertainment system includes a 55' LG High Definition flat screen, 5 speaker surround sound, high speed cable and wireless Internet (300mbps), Starz and Apple TV. The oversized garage fits two full-sized vehicles, or one vehicle + boat. Additional outdoor parking is available on and alongside the large driveway and hammerhead.

The house includes a laundry room with washer & dryer, dishwasher, garbage disposal, central heating and other modern amenities. The rooms in the home are situated as follows.

Great stay!

Our family and another spent a wonderful week at this beautiful home. The location is convenient to downtown Truckee, several ski resorts, and Tahoe Donner amenities. There is space behind the house for snow play as well. Joel was super responsive and check-in & out was easy. The kitchen is fully renovated including Viking appliances, beverage fridge, & plenty of pots and pans. The dual zone central heating was great (many other houses in the area with 1 unit end up too hot upstairs and cold downstairs). The garage was a nice bonus, saving us from needing to brush off car’s before heading out in the mornings. The hot tub on the back porch was a hit for kids & adults alike. The driveway was somewhat inclined so definitely recommend 4wd.

North Tahoe Oasis

Our family had a fantastic time staying at Joel’s home. It was our first stay in North Tahoe & we had a lovely time relaxing playing games & reading by the fire, cooking meals in the beautiful kitchen & enjoying the hot tub in the evenings after our days out skiing and visiting quaint downtown Truckee. His house is conveniently located close to Donner/Sugar Bowl & other ski areas as well as downtown Truckee. Joel was very helpful with any recommendations & always quick to respond. Our family will be back to visit in the summer to enjoy a different season in beautiful Tahoe & can’t wait to stay in Joel’s home again.

Fantastic stay

House was newly renovated and well-appointed, with a fully stocked kitchen. Joel, the owner, was welcoming and very responsive/communicative and gave us the flexibility to check in early. Will definitely look to stay there again if we're back in the Tahoe area.

The perfect Tahoe getaway

This house is the best. I have rented it a number of times over the years and it keeps getting better. - Space: The perfect layout for a family vacation with lounging for every occasion - Ammenties: The well appointedd chef's kitchen is perfect for us for those that enjoy Tahoe with a large number of meals at home. The front porch is my wife's favorite place to start her morning with a cup of coffee. - Location: The benefits of Donner include access to the private lake and the club house. Not too far in so a quick run to the store isn't a problem. I love the quick drive to Glacier Way trailhead for my morning hike / bike ride! - Comfort: The house is so spacious and comfortable. Clean throughout with very nice furniture, bedding and linens. - Host: Joel makes it easy. Very communicative and responsive. No issues have arisen but he does check in occasionally to insure his guests are having a blast. I have stayed many places in Tahoe but this house is my favorite. It feels like a home and somewhere you want to get back to after a long day of skiiing, boating, hiking, biking or any of the nearby activities. We have been there with up to 10 very comfortably for a family reunion.

Very nice, great location, and as described

My wife and I had the chance to take a last minute getaway and were lucky to book this spot, had a great time and we'll certainly aim to return again. Joel (the owner) is very responsive and straightforward. The unit is as described, very nice and well appointed with all the great elements for a Tahoe getaway. We didn't have our kids with us this time but the BRs are all nice and the bunk bed room has extra room for plenty. Kitchen is great, top end appliances, and the hot tub on the back balcony is perfect for end of day or early morning. Great location as its super easy to get to downtown Truckee, Tahoe Donner, and same exit as Sugar Bowl.
