Why Al Tufts chose Kohala Coast
Our condo complex is immaculately landscaped and maintained. There is a unique pool and hot tub, along with a state of the art fitness center, which you will find just across from our building. A short walk finds you over at Queen's Marketplace, or King's Shops for excellent shopping and dining. A-Bay, with a beautiful beach, has easy snorkeling and swimming access. Easy to explore all within the Waikoloa Beach Resort area. Check out some dash cam videos around our area at wiperwiper.ca.
What makes this Condo unique
The Big Island offers an incredible array of things to see and do. Many of our favorite beaches and hikes along the Kohala Coast are within a 10-15 minute drive from our condo. We love the beauty and diversity of the Big Island.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
This was a great condo to stay in! Close to Queens market that we walked over for coffee every morning. All the beach gear in the garage was so convenient from the chairs and coolers to the snorkel gear. The instructions were easy to follow. Kids used the gym and pool which are just across the driveway. Spacious and clean. Thank you for sharing your place.
The condo was super clean and nice. The balcony overlooking the golf course was very peaceful and pleasant. The location was ideal- right across from the Queen's Shops- everything was perfect. Would definitely stay here again...
A very upscale Unit.
This Villa is Extremely well stocked, very spacious 2 bedrooms large kitchen, a wonderful outdoor patio looking over the third hole Waikoloa golf course. The grounds are meticulous with a beautiful tropical plants and hard scape.
This condo is very nice and the kitchen is well stocked. We have stayed on the Big Island many times and we have stayed all over Waikoloa, Waikoloa Beach Villas is my least favorite place we have stayed. This complex has no outdoor hose bibs to rinse your snorkel gear or beach gear. We use the the beach everyday and found this to be a great annoyance. Every other place we have stayed has this in a public area or on the back patio for your use. When we arrived the door was unlocked and the keys were inside which was a little disconcerting. There was a load of wet towels in the dryer. We had to buy a bottle of vinegar and wash several loads of towels to get rid of the mildew smell. There are many rules here, too many to list but quiet times, times you have take out the trash, how to take a shower and wash the dishes, how to use the ice maker just to name a few. It felt like there was a rule for everything and made you feel unwelcome. You are also not allowed to hang your towels outside so there is nowhere to dry anything from the beach or pool. When we go to Hawaii we are very active outdoors and are gone all day so the condo doesn’t really matter but in this case it just felt very restrictive and stressful. Also the beds were very old and one had every pillow and the matters covered with some kind of very stuff plastic that made it very uncomfortable and hot to sleep. You are also not able to make the A/C colder than 72 which would be ok except one of the vents is right over the thermostat so it’s 72 there but 80 in the bedrooms. You can still have a great vacation and it’s nice and clean but just not our style. We won’t stay in this complex again.
Hi Tracey…thanks for taking the time to write a review. I always encourage people to contact me directly during their stay to handle any questions or issues. There is a hose right on the sidewalk by the garage close to the entrance of our building (and an outdoor shower at the pool). The front door is supposed to be locked, so that must have been missed when the cleaners left. And with the towels, that was clearly a miss by our cleaning team. I appreciate you taking the time to clean them thoroughly, but I would have certainly sent the cleaners over to handle that if I knew. Our beds have bed bug protectors but they should have been covered with sheets and mattress toppers.
Our experience in this condo was wonderful!
We especially loved the location of the condo. It is within walking distance to restaurants and all the shops as well as the beach.
Thank you for having a garage with beach chairs, boogie boards and a great bike as well. It was a treat to put the car in a garage and keep it cool.
Yes, the volcano was erupting while we were there, however we were not even aware of it unless we tuned into some sort of media.
The condo is beautifully decorated and the patio overlooking the golf course was our favourite place to sit and relax.
We understand it’s a leap of faith for someone to book a VRBO the first time, this was our 4th time booking in the Waikoloa Beach area and the easiest experience of all.
We agree that the beach at exit 69 just a short drive north of the resort, is a definite “must visit”.
Thank you to the Tufts for allowing us to celebrate our 30th anniversary in your condo, we loved it!
