Wendy Murphy purchased this House in 2018
Why Wendy Murphy chose Lake Geneva
This home was built in the 1880's and was a popular hang out for Chicago gangsters including Bugs Moran and Baby Face Nelson. When Bugs and his wife were divorced, the owner of this home married Bug's ex-wife Lucille and she ran a casino and speakeasy in the basement during prohibition.
What makes this House unique
The home is meticulous and has been updated throughout. The history of this home has been integrated into the artwork throughout to help you understand how each of the infamous characters were connected to this home. It's a one-of-a-kind experience and a vacation you'll remember for a lifetime!

Fantastic house in a great location.
Excellent accommodation for a large group or family. Interesting history. Terrific assistance by owner.
Lovely bakehouse for a family reunion
Enjoyed meals around the dining table and on the deck. Our kids played on the beach and the kayaks were a fun amenity for exploring the lake. Beds are super comfy. So many gathering spots to linger. And we put two puzzles together! Wendy was wonderful.
Lake Geneva weekend!
We enjoyed the property and loved the location on Lake Como. Great amenities and very clean and comfortable! Thank you
Ideal for our group getaway
The location was ideal for our group getaway. Ample indoor and outdoor space, including nice lakefront access, was perfect for our differnt activities. It is a quiet and peaceful location. The property has an interesting history which was interesting to read about. The house is clean and well appointed for cooking, sleeping and meeting space. The property manager was easy to work, very helpful and responsive to questions. Our stay at Wateredge was enjoyable and relaxing.
great family destination
Great little beach and plenty of room inside this nicely-furnished house. Intriguing history here as well.
Wonderful place, wonderful location
We really enjoyed our stay here. We had 9 adults and 7 mostly teenagers. There was plenty of space for us all. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable with great bedding and towels. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies and had good appliances. There was something here for everyone in our group. We especially loved the location on a quieter lake. The sunsets from the rooftop deck were awesome. We grilled out, hung out on both decks, played lots of games both inside with the many games provided, and outside sitting around a campfire at night. The teenagers loved floating on rafts in the lake without worrying about busy boat traffic. We also used the 2 kayaks provided and rented a stand up paddle board for the week from The Ridge down the way. Lake Geneva was under 10 minutes away filled with great shops, restaurants, and boating activities. We took an easy 5 minute walk down to Mars restaurant for drinks and dinner one night. Wendy was so very nice and responsive. She makes sure your vacation is stress free. She took time to give us a tour with the history of the place. Our Chicago born dad especially loved that. We will be back for future vacations!
