A secluded retreat in Gloucester's historic Rocky Neck Cultural District, this is a great vacation getaway- ideal for a single person or couple. Visitors have appreciated the peaceful atmosphere which lends itself perfectly to those who want downtime or maybe some focused work or creative time as well.
Completed in 2013, this second story apartment is located at the entrance to one of America’s oldest working Art Colonies. Just steps away you'll find Wonson and Smith Coves, The Gloucester Stage Company Theater, the Cultural Center at Rocky Neck, galleries, shops and restaurants. Enjoy regular musical events, bike Cape Ann's beautiful coastline, kayak its large, protected harbor or just have a relaxing stroll down Rocky Neck. Niles Beach is a 10-minute walk away, Good Harbor Beach and downtown Gloucester are 5-minutes by car.
Windows on all four sides provide a steady sea breeze and lots of light. Grill and dine on the deck overlooking the garden with seasonal brook, large willow tree and many flowers and herbs. Cooks will find a well-equipped kitchen, staple pantry items, and are invited to use fresh herbs from the garden!
If you are an artist, you can paint plein air in the garden, or visit owner/artist Rokhaya Waring's studio/gallery also on the property.
