1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 7 in beds -- 780 square feet

The Lodge at Copper, located in New Village at Copper, is a true ski-in/ski-out building and the mountain’s most sought after lodging address.

Put your “sticks” on at the building’s back door and ski down to the American Flyer lift. At the end of the day or just for a cocoa break, cruise down Scooter run to the same door. No lugging skis and boards across the village! Truly no-hassle skiing and riding!

This updated and tastefully decorated unit is approximately 780 square-feet and located on the second floor of The Lodge at Copper and sleeps 7 in beds (Master Q, Q and T pull-out sofas and twin bunk beds).

If cooking is your thing, the kitchen has updated appliances and is stocked with all the cookware, plates, gadgets, glasses and utensils you’ll need to whip up a feast fit for the high country!

Long day on the slopes? After dropping your boards and skis in the heated ski locker room, skip the cooking, and treat yourself to dinner in the village! Afterward, retire to the living room and screen a movie on the massive 48-inch wall-mounted flat-screen TV with DVD. Turn on the gas fireplace to perfect the ambiance!

Maybe you are achy from using those ski-and-ride muscles??? Grab a towel and head over to either The Lodge’s outdoor hot tub or one of three saunas located on floors 2-4.

When it’s time to turn in and recharge those batteries for tomorrow’s epic powder, the bedroom has a 46-inch flat screen tv to catch the late show--and you won’t need your glasses!!! Nestle down into those fine linens and super-comfy mattress. Got kids? Pop some corn and send them off to camp out on the bunk beds in the living area alcove. If you’re making it a true family affair, grandma and grandpa can keep an eye on the kids in the living area when they snuggle in to the queen and twin pull out sofa beds.

If you want to be first-chair, hurry----but first lather up in the stunning tumbled-marble, glass-enclosed shower! Close off the shower area's alder wood door and your guests can use the double-sinked vanity, with wall-mounted 10x magnifying mirror and hair dryer. With two of you getting ready at the same time, you’ll be first chair for sure!!!

Linens and towels are provided for 4 people. Additional may be requested.

No contact with the outside world for a few (glorious) days and need to check in (or maybe you just want to Instagram, FB or Twitter some fabulous photos to make your friends green with envy!)? We’ve got you covered either way with free, wireless Internet service.

If your base layers need freshening, our building’s new washing machine and dryer are located on the first floor and will spiff up those togs in short order!

Before you leave us, make sure to watch the snow fall or listen to the summertime babble of our beautiful stream from the balcony off the living room---no hot tub chatter on this side of the building to disturb the solitude!

Smoking is not permitted in the unit or on balcony at any time.

By now you surely have decided to come for a visit! As you pull up to the extensively renovated lodge at copper building, you can park your car in the heated garage located underneath the building. If friends come a calling, they can park their sleigh in your other parking spot, located on the stream-side of the building. An elevator makes easy work of getting your suitcases up to the second floor.

Skied yourself silly tired? The copper coach runs 8:30 a.M. To 11:00 p.M. Please call 15 to 20 minutes prior to the desired pick-up time. Copper coach runs 7 days a week (through April 20th, 2014).

Hope to see you soon!

Great Property!

  • 4 of 5

We had a great stay. The location is good, short walk to the center village and skiable to the lift. Hot tub was kept very hot. Unit was well kept and worked well for our family.

Great location, tastefully decorated

  • 4 of 5

Our family of 5 was very comfortable in this tastefully decorated condo. The owner was kind enough to ask us ahead of time if we would be needing a DVD player, since it had broken. After communicating that we planned to watch movies, the owner made sure to have a working DVD player for us. We also reported upon arrival that the fridge had not been cleaned, and the owner called the cleaning company and had them come back to make it right. We also reported that there were very few glasses, and the owner had a new set delivered the following day.

The furniture and beds were comfortable and our kids enjoyed using the Wii.

We loved being able to come back for lunch and rest a little before heading back on the slopes. The location is truly ski in, and a short walk on the ski out.

The layout of the condo is a little interesting, in that you walk through the bathroom sink area to get to the Master Bedroom. If you are a light sleeper like me, you may want to wear earplugs due to the one shared bathroom being so close to the bedroom.

There are 2 reasons I could not give this place 5 stars. For one, they should really replace the toilet seat which is splintering on the back side.

Also, the kitchen did not even have a large enough pot with a lid to make 2 boxes of macaroni and cheese, and the frying pan is so small, I could make only 3 fried eggs at a time. There were no glass casserole dishes for baking. I would have liked a 9x13. A crock-pot would have been nice as well. Also, I would have liked a larger cutting board. The one provided was very small.

Overall, I would consider staying here again, especially if the kitchen and bathroom seat were addressed. A beautiful, cozy place.

Owner's Response: In the hospitality portal, we ask guests to let us know if they need additional kitchen supplies. This guest asked for additional glassware, but did not request any additional kitchen equipment, pans or dishes. We have an entire storage closet full of pots, pans, dishes and specialty items which could have easily been delivered along with the glasses had they been requested. With limited cabinet space, it is a challenge to leave one of everything. The toilet seat will certainly be replaced if upon inspection it is found to be splintered. Again, the toilet seat was not reported by the guest as something that was an issue. In our welcome letter, we ask that guests immediately report anything in (or regarding) the unit which is unacceptable.

Great condo!

  • 3 of 5

Condo was great! Loved the location and the ski in ski out feature.

I will not return to this unit purely based on the rude mgmt. company interaction, not worth the hassle while on a vacation weekend! Too many other options available, no need to deal with rude, grumpy, unresponsive folks.

We had need to call twice to report that upon arrival the hot tub was 112F and only half full. We couldn't find any blankets anywhere in the unit (never received any for the 2 night stay) and the DVD player in the living room didn't work. When we called to report this we received an extremely rude response from the mgmt. company rep (female). "You are bothering me!" A nice enough gentleman stopped by to confirm the DVD was broken and confirmed that the hot tub was regulated and ready for use later that evening. He was apologetic for the females behavior but...

Owner's Response: We always are responsive and solicitous of our guests' needs and truly enjoy working with them. Our reviews are not indicative of an unresponsive and/or rude owner/manager. This guest called a few minutes after check in to report the hot tub was “almost empty” and said it was “way too hot--a person could be really hurt”. We immediately called the (resident) building manager, and he said the hot tub was FULL and NOT OVERLY HOT. We drove to the unit to talk to the guest about the hot tub, as we were a little concerned (and puzzled) why he would report it being almost empty/too hot. (When we arrived, we found the tub full, at proper temperature, and occupied by three people.) The guest met my partner at the hot tub, but all he would say was "it looks like someone filled it up really fast". We drove back home and within the hour, the guest called again and said the Bose Home Theater-integrated DVD player was broken. After walking through steps with the guest to make sure it was indeed not working, we offered to take a look at it and either fix it or replace it with a stand-alone DVD player. The guest said his family no longer wanted to watch movies, that they were going out to eat and that we were not welcome to access the unit in their absence to check out the DVD player. We asked if we could come out the next day. At this point, the guest became very loud , saying repeatedly he was not getting what he paid for and the hot tub and DVD player had caused major problems within his family. We asked if a partial refund would make up for his inconvenience, and he (yelled) he didn't want a PARTIAL refund and continued being SO verbally abusive that we hung up and called VRBO to report the incident and ask for guidance. Note: The guest did NOT ask us about blankets. There are multiple blankets in the bedroom closet, in the coffee table storage compartment and on the bed. This is a mountain condo — blankets are always provided, even in the summer.
