Good place to stay
I am Saudi citizen with my family 3 adults and 2 kids. This is my first time being stayed in north of LA, although I have been many times in this city before.The owner Mr. Andrew was very decent, and kind. He is one of the best people I knew ever.
The property was good, clean and comfortable, with one major comments wich is the wooden floor that makes us very bothered by our neighbors who stay at upstairs unit. We do also bother them due to the old design of this property since the isolation was not as good as it should be!! We had serious issue with our neighbors and they claimed us to the owner by saying we are yelling till midnight!!!!!!
The kitchen was well equipped, and the AC system was fantastic.
Moreover, the location of this property was excellent and the garden was also great.
I would recommend this property, and my recommendation is subject to fix the issue of the wooden floors and the isolation.
Very comfortable stay
Really enjoyed this entire property. We live in the neighborhood and needed a place to stay while we are remodeling our home. This property could not be more convenient for our needs. The photos on website truly reflect what the house looks like. The kitchen is well stocked with just about everything you can need for your stay. Everything was extremely comfortable and it was great having a side yard. We have 2 dogs and they really enjoyed being able to go outside and check out what was happening. Andrew, Pam and Sarah were all really terrific to deal with in every respect. The property was spotless and very well maintained. The TV in the master bedroom wasn't working and everyone dealt with it swiftly and with great concern which was very much appreciated. Not only would I recommend this home to friends and family when they come to town...but I'd be more than happy to stay here again if the need arises. The area is great...not too noisy...with lots to do and lots of restaurants nearby. This is a great comfortable find!
Beautiful, comfortable home in a fantastic, quiet neighborhood location!
We came to Los Angeles on a one week family vacation. This was the perfect spot for us. The house is in a very central location so getting around was easy. After long days of sight seeing it was nice to come home to a beautiful, quiet home and relax. This house is perfectly appointed with everything you need and very clean. The beautiful outside gardens were a lovely way to start and end the day! I would highly recommend this property.
Very comfortable in a lovely residential neighborhood and close to restaurants, shopping and attract
We rented this property for 16 days while we were in Los Angeles visiting our son. We had the bottom floor of the duplex and found it to be very comfortable for all of our needs. The beds were very comfortable, including the pillows and the comforters. We stayed in for many meals and found the kitchen very easy to work in, although the pantry was actually bare, so a thorough grocery shopping was necessary. One on street parking spot was provided and we never had trouble finding a place very close to the property to park the car. The street was very residential with many families walking back and forth and yet a major thoroughfare was just 1 block away. The grounds were also lovely and sitting out in the beautifully maintained back yard, with great patio furniture was also a treat in March. I would highly recommend this property, which could easily accommodate 6 people comfortably, and I would not hesitate to recommend it to others.
Marvelous time in the Pico/Roberson area of LA
I can't say enough about what a wonderful experience we had at this property. We stayed for two months and it really felt like home. The neighborhood felt safe and was amazingly quiet considering it's location. The apt. has wonderful charm and lots of natural light. There are a few outdoor areas to relax. We brought our yellow lab and she enjoyed the large backyard complete with a gas bar-b-que, comfortable lounges, a nice lawn and plantings. Great for playing fetch and soaking up the rays. I also always felt safe walking her around the neighborhood. I even walked to LACMA, which isn't far. The furnishings were comfortable and tasteful. The house is supplied with all the dishes, kitchen gadgets, and linens you need. We enjoyed inviting our family and friends for meals in the dining room, watching a movie on one of the three large screen televisions, and having the extra two bedrooms for overnight stays. The place was easy to heat and the hot water was plentiful. The laundry room was an asset. The owner is very accommodating to whatever needs you may have and responds immediately. We had use of the garage which is a plus considering the restrictions on parking. Don't hesitate, I hope to return in the future. A great place to escape an east coast winter.
We stayed at the lower unit for several months and really enjoyed our stay. Andrew and Sarah made sure that everything was taken care of for my family. The unit is beautifully furnished and quite comfortable. It has central air and heating which came in handy as we stayed from the end of summer through January. The neighborhood is a quiet residential area lined with well maintained duplexes and homes. We felt safe and at home. We had a private side yard to ourselves and a patio area in the backyard complete with a water fountain. The duplex is conveniently located to most places. We would definitely come back.

“Carthay Circle was developed by J. Harvey McCarthy in 1922. Centrally located, the neighborhood is comprised of 136 acres, but it is not circular, contrary to its name. The specific boundaries of Carthay Circle are Wilshire Boulevard to the north, South Fairfax Ave. to the East, Olympic Ave. to the south, and Schumacher Drive to the West. Carthay Circle's location most closely borders Beverly Hills with the lovely La Cienega Park nearby. This area was designed with all the utilities underground, which makes it especially attractive. No two homes are alike due to the rule that all homes had to be designed individually by an architect. Designs vary immensely; one can find Spanish, English, Colonial, Mediterranean, and Cape Cod style homes. Notable designers such as Paul Williams and Robert Byrd contributed to the designs of the area and many celebrity actors resided in Carthay Circle.”
