Escape to this spectacular estate, complete with panoramic views of Smugglers Notch! The best of both worlds includes the privacy of 12 acres atop a long private drive and the convenience of close proximity to Smugglers Notch Resort (2/10ths of a mile across the road to be exact). Smuggs was voted #1 Ski Resort in the East by SKI magazine in 2014 and has been voted the #1 Family Resort for 15 years in a row.

A true gem! There are three homes on the property. The primary home is a side-by-side chalet with a four-bedroom and five-bedroom unit each comprised of three floors of finished living space (2,700 square feet). The views from the chalet units are unmatched; see skiers on the trails in plain sight. The third is a more basic two-bedroom ranch home with a finished basement with bar and attached garage. The unique layout of the estate allows for small or large groups. Stay in one home or rent all three and have the whole property for your group’s enjoyment!

-Satellite TV, high speed internet, and Wifi

-Wood-burning fireplace in each chalet

-Full size washer/dryer

-Towels and linens provided

-Fully stocked kitchen

-Brewster River Pub located at the end of the long drive (great food, craft beer brewed on premises)

About Kiri Michael

Hi! My name is Christina and I am a new co-owner of these homes with my brother, cousin and our families. We are proud to have recently acquired this unique 12-acre estate.

I am a school teacher, who currently teaches Kindergarten. My husband and I are raising our three children in his hometown state of northern New Jersey. My brother, Nick, works in finance; he and his wife are raising their three children in our hometown state of Vermont not far from this property. As for my cousin Kiri, he grew up and lives in NYC. He works as a R.E. Broker and the Smuggs locals enjoy poking fun calling him 'city slicker'.

We all love the great outdoors and jumped at the opportunity when this property came on the market. We have made immediate improvements and plan to make many more as time and finances allow. We are humbled to have you as our guests. Your suggestions are welcomed and appreciated as we embark on this new adventure. I look forward to communicating with you!

Kiri Michael purchased this estate in 2013

Why Kiri Michael chose Stowe Area

Once you drive into the estate you will understand, 'Why this property?'. Location is PRIME. You will not find another estate privately owned and close enough to Smugglers' Notch in which you can put on your ski boots and walk to the resort. Smugglers Notch was voted the #1 Ski Resort in the East by the readers of SKI Magazine in 2014 and has been voted the #1 Family Resort for fifteen years in a row as well. Smuggs is branded as 'America's #1 Family Resort'.

You'll be amazed at the breathtaking grounds and views. My cousin, Kiri, says there is a sort of 'firewall for the mind that keeps you in the moment'. Last time we were up here was Christmas and there was an ice storm. Everywhere we looked the views worthy of a post card. The sun was shining on the ice and the ice's weight arched all the trees and framed the roadways. This reminded me of how much of a beautiful backdrop I had growing up.

What makes this estate unique

Luxury meets comfort. Exclusive amenities! Private sauna, hot tub, outdoor pool, tennis court and multiple fireplaces. Come with your family and friends!

Event bookings are available- The estate is situated to sleep 35 people. So family reunions or group retreats are ideal on the 12 acres. The ideas are endless!

Smugglers' Notch

The best of both worlds, includes the privacy of 12 acres atop a long private road and the convenience of close proximity to Smugglers Notch Resort (2/10ths of a mile across the road to be exact). Smugglers was voted #1 Ski Resort in the East by SKI magazine in 2014 and has been voted the #1 Family Resort for fifteen years in a row.

The property allows for year-round activities. Explore 12 acres of wooded terrain. Track animals or admire birds. Roast s'mores by the outdoor fire pit. Sit in the hot tub overlooking the mountains, take a dip in the pool, or swing your racquet on the private tennis court.

Walk to the Brewster River Pub and Grill, at the bottom of the road, for food, beverage, and live music. Or, check out Stella Notte Restaurant and Lounge, at the base of the mountain, just minutes away. Smugglers Notch Resort offers several dining options onsite as well.

Take a short drive to the small town of Jeffersonville just down from the mountain road. Hanley's General Store and The Farm Store offer food, groceries, and Vermont made goods. Head to the Smugglers Notch Distillery to sample the local vodka. Restaurants, like The Mix and 158 Main, allow for dining choices off the mountain.

Last but not least, take a drive or hike through the mountain pass road (Rte. 108) that connects Smugglers Notch and Stowe. This narrow, twisting road delights visitors with natural waterfalls and immense rock cliffs. Best viewed during foliage! Please note, the mountain pass is closed during winter months for safety.

great wedding/family reunion

  • 4 of 5

Great place for an extended family reunion. we had 15 of us on the 3 levels comfortably all ages from 1 year old to 82!... The hot tub was perfect for grammy and the kids. The older kids loved the heated pool and the adults liked playing tennis.. it was a central location.. some hiked Sterling trail, others biked the Smugglers notch, others went to Burlington and also boating on lake Champlain. Nice back deck for BBQ and saw Smugglers fireworks from the front deck. Nice fire pit for the teens.lot of grassy area . all in all a perfect spot to have your family here in one place.

Our family and extended family stayed here as my daughter was married at Boyden Farm and Winery... this was a perfect spot to stay and go back and forth.

Scott the property manager was always prompt with any issues. I only wish we could have brought our dog...he would have loved your place.

When I first inquired, one of the 3 owners said yes, then said no after checking with his partner. The 3 owners need to be more in unison with each other and use Scott more as a liaison to the renters. Scott was very helpful to us and checked on us the following day after we checked in. All in all this is a great place to have extended family for a wedding at the Boyden barn!! Even guests from out of state were amazed at this beautiful; setting... You really have a beautiful chalet ..thank you for letting us enjoy ourselves for the week.

perfect spot in Vermont

  • 5 of 5

This property is just a great all around set up for a large group as we had (24 of us fit very comfortably). the main house clean and cozy, but the deck/hot tub/pool and overall ground were the best part since the weather was spectacular. the firepit a wonderful touch. didn't make it to tennis courts but only because we had a ton of other activities. the manager was kind enough to mail some personal items back to us free of charge, so all-in-all this was a first class experience. highly recommend!

Great Summer Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Thanks for sharing this beautiful property with us. Our group of 24 traveled from multiple spots in the US to enjoy the estate. In addition to the endless lawn space, pool, hot tub, saunas, fire pit, mountain views and tennis courts, this property had all of the amenities needed for a enjoyable long weekend. Between the three houses, there was more than enough room to comfortably host a large group whether it is family or friends. Close to Smugglers Notch, Stowe and Burlington. The owners and property manager were a pleasure to work with and they went out of their way to make sure our group had everything needed. If you are looking for a great northeast getaway, I highly recommend this property for any time of year. Can't wait to go back!

Great setting for Vermont group getaway

  • 5 of 5

Our large group of family friends including a dozen teens, spent July 4 weekend at this rental. We have traveled together to various locations in the NE for hiking, photo gathering, sightseeing and tennis. We enjoyed our entire weekend in the Stowe/Smugglers area and this rental was a great centerpiece for our time together. Our high points were the privacy of the property (we rented all 3 units), cleanliness, hot tub, fully stocked kitchens, tennis court and fire pit. The house provided plenty of firestarter and firewood. The swimming pool is really great as well, but we chose not to heat it and that was our own mistake (advice for prospective renters: if you expect to use the pool, consider heating it to make it more comfortable). We had some issues with the wifi, but I think those should be fixed by now. Beautiful views and easy access to hiking. Stowe just a short drive away. Thanks to Nick and Christina!

Amazing weekend with the extended family

  • 5 of 5

Thank you so much for this amazing rental. We rented both sides and had family members from 7 months to 73. All had a great time! We hardly left the property.. there was so much to do. The days we did leave we did the toll road to the top of Mansfield (10 minutes away) and the adults did the canoe trip to the winery. The pool is perfect and the hot tub was great for the older set. The deck was a great spot for full family dinners. The kitchens had everything we needed and the houses were big enough that everyone had plenty of fun together, but also time for themselves. We are already planning our trip back next year.

Couldn't have picked a better place for our group.

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 8 adults and 7 children had a fantastic stay at this chalet. It isn't overly fancy, but is very clean and super cosy. The stone fireplace was a big hit; who doesn't love coming home after a full day on the slopes to a roaring fire? It is also the best stocked chalet/condo we have ever stayed in; there was plenty of cleaning products, dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. A great place to stay.
