About David Bolton

I grew up in Santa Barbara, and appreciate the beauty and history that this town offers. I have also travelled all over the world, and after staying in a multitude of hotels, I am commited to making your visit at Casitas Vista la Riviera enjoyable and at a top quality level.

David Bolton purchased this house in 1999

Why David Bolton chose Santa Barbara

I fell in love with the property based on its location and potential. An original 1919 Craftsman house, I have spent the past 13 years rebuilding and expanding as a historic reconstruction. Keeping the historic charm but also adding the conveniences and cleaniness of a modern property.

What makes this house unique

Stunning views of the Santa Barbara Riviera, and a steady ocean breeze make for a relaxing stay. Once here, you will see why I have choosen this property and why we work hard to make your visit memorable.

Beautiful Home and Personalized Service

  • 5 of 5

My husband & I took my Mom up to Santa Barbara last weekend for an early Mothers Day Trip. Mom had never been so it was a quick 90 minute drive from L.A. to this beautiful home we stayed in. Gonzalo the property manager met us and gave us the key and showed us the place. He was so kind and answered all of our questions. The rental was modern with a nice kitchen area, living room area, and most important to me nice comfortable beds with good bedding. We're talking 500++ thread count sheets! Our favorite part was the front porch which is private and has a table and chairs to sit out on and drink wine and eat nibbles. The home is only a 5 block walk to State street. We didn't need to drive anywhere from the house. David the owner was very easy to work with as well. He answered all of my questions and made the rental transaction easy. I must end on a personal note. When the 3 of us got back to the house after our 1st day exploring Santa Barbara on the doorstep was a beautiful arrangement of flowers that Gonzalo had picked for my Mom with a nice note. It was really touching and made my Mom so happy. We would definitely stay at this rental again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Santa Barbara or the surrounding areas. Thank you Gonzalo & David!

Wonderful Experience! We will be back!

  • 5 of 5

We arrived at the property and it was beautiful! It was easy to find and has secure private parking. The property owner had fantastic communication and led us through checking in and out with ease. This location was the perfect distance for walking anywhere we wanted to go! We walked from the train station with our luggage with no problems. The owner offered to pick us up but we wanted to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. We walked into town every morning and enjoyed small cafes at night.

The property was very clean and offered all the amenities we needed and more. The view from the patio was striking with an abundance of jade, bamboo and other Mediterranean style flora. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and allowed us a very quiet nights sleep.

This was the perfect spot for a getaway. My only regret, not staying longer. We will indeed be back. Next time for a longer stay!

Perfect home-away-from-home

  • 5 of 5

We were so pleased with the kindness shown us by our host, David, who personally made certain all was well & functioning perfectly before he left us to relax into the rainy rhythm of a Santa Barbara evening. Delightfully appointed, comfy beds, pristine bathroom...and so convenient to the hub of town. If we return to Calif, be assured, THIS will be our choice for a temporary home!

Great location, very comfortable!

Had a great stay here for a long wedding weekend, booked this and another apartment on the same property for family and it was a great set up for all of us and a toddler. Had everything we needed and the owner was very responsive and helpful!

A lovely stay in Santa Barbara

  • 5 of 5

David's home was immaculate, explicit in its direction (it's a little back away from the street), and clean and well-appointed. All (kitchen, bath, bedroom) was in place for our arrival, even though we arrived quite late. Directions for keeping the property in expected condition were included, as were helpful directions for around town excursions and operating the television.
