Hi, this is your host, Tracey. A little about me: I have been involved in the hospitality business since 1992 and love providing a warm atmosphere where folks can come and relax, retreat and recuperate. After moving to Colorado in 2006, I decided to open up my home for travelers and vacationers, renting out part of my home. Penguins are awesome and inspire me!! I am a Certified Brain Trainer for Learning Rx and a Certified Rapid Mind Renewal Facilitator for Rethink, LLC. Both jobs are fulfilling, rewarding and allow me to help people overcome obstacles and walk in freedom.
Tracey purchased this Guest House in 2007

Tracy (Property Manager) was so easy to work with and accommodating.
Thanks Kelly. Glad you came to stay and look forward to having you back again.
Beautiful Mountain Setting
Clara and I had a wonderful 24day stay. We were sorry we couldn't stay the full 4 weeks. We loved the 2nd floor deck where you are at tree level. We had our coffee there every morning. We enjoyed the deer, birds and squirrels and especially the friendly ground squirrel who came to visit us on the deck every day. The inside was lovely with plenty of space to spread out. The 16 steps and thin air were a bit rough for 80 year olds. Tracy was very helpful when needed. The lack of cell service is a distinct disadvantage. A ground phone line would be a big help. The subdivision roads are well maintained
So glad you came to stay at Penguin Crossing. Sorry that the altitude and stairs were difficult for you.
My husband and I stayed here for our 14year Anniversary weekend and it was so peaceful and beautiful. The cabin was very clean and it felt like home right away. Tracey was a very sweet lady who really cares that everything is ready for your stay. The only downside is the bed is not that comfortable but that is something we are willing to overlook because everything else was perfect. We can’t wait to go back next year.
Thank you so much for coming and staying! I'm glad you had a peaceful restful time. perhaps you can give me some feedback regarding the bed as this is the first time I've heard it to not comfortable.
loved the views
perfect resting place.,
Thank you so much for coming, Tammy.
We had a great time and Tracey was very accommodating. What a great getaway we had for our small family!
It was a pleasure to meet you and have your family stay at Penguin Crossing. 🐧 Please come again!
Rustic peaceful getaway
We greatly enjoyed staying at penguin crossing. Tracey was a wonderful, discreet hostess. She brought us wood for fireplace at our request and the entire unit had more provisions than I have ever seen in a VRBO. Though we handled them fine, it would be best to be open in telling future clients that the unit is on the second floor and is accessible only via 18 step exterior wooden stairs.
So glad you enjoyed your stay! Thank you for your feedback regarding the upper level, I will add the steps to my description.
Imagine a place in the woods with the smell of pine and view of Pikes Peak. Peaceful, quiet and remote setting, just ten minutes from Divide in beautiful Spring Valley. Lakes, ponds, views and nature await those who come to this 'best kept secret' in the Pikes Peak region. Why Divide? Because Divide is like the hub of a wheel where you can go any direction and find fun things to do, places to eat and adventures to conquer...from all of the Colorado Springs attractions, to skiing, water rafting, hiking, fishing and mountain climbing; this is your starting point. Or, just stay here in Spring Valley and enjoy fishing in our lakes, biking our beautiful roads, listening to the gentle breeze in the Aspens or, if appropriate, sitting by the fire with a good book.
