Thank you for your wonderful hospitality! We had a great time here in Mariposa and in the beautiful Yosemite National Park. It was a great getaway from the busyness of Los Angeles. We really enjoyed our stay here at Robin's Nest. We felt more like we were staying with family or friends rather than a hotel. The place was very relaxing and nice. We had a great time.

Great location to access Yosemite, excellent hosts!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at Robin's Nest in Mariposa! Yosemite was easily accessible and there were plenty of restaurant options in town. Trace gave us invaluable advice for how to plan our short stay to see as much of Yosemite as possible! We would definitely stay here again.

Awesome stay!

  • 5 of 5

This was such a lovely place to stay at!!! My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Yosemite National Park and had such a great experience!

The property itself is very clean with nice decor (little robins scattered around the house). I loved the blue walls with contrasting brown linens. I will say that the rental is a lot larger than what I had pictured based on what I saw online. Major plus!

When you arrive (plenty of parking), you go right around the house, following the signs for Robin's Nest. Shortly after we arrived we were greeted by one of the owners, Trace. He had A LOT of knowledge to offer us given that he was a former park ranger for Yosemite. I'm telling you, he knows everything about the park- best times to go, what hikes to do, where to get the best views, etc. Tell him what your goals are for your trip and he'll help you create the perfect itinerary! We did a hike, Clouds Rest, which we hadn't quite planned for, but turned out to be the best hike we did.

Anyhow, you enter the building and there's a closet with beach towels for you to use for either the pool or the Merced River (ask where to go). You'll encounter the bedroom and around the corner is the living room, equipped with TV and tons of space. You'll also see the bathroom (with towels, soap bar, shampoo/conditioner). The kitchenette includes microwave, toaster, sink, coffee pot and dishes for you to use.

There's a table outside to eat if you want some fresh air, otherwise, there's 2 bar stools you can eat in the kitchen. There's also an outdoor grill that you are welcome to use if you choose to make something. The rental comes equipped with A/C and heater depending on temps.

As for the bed... I thought it was comfortable. After hiking the entire trip we were sure glad to hit the sack. We were out... Cold.

They also have Wi-Fi you can use which was super helpful since we had NO reception with T-Mobile in the area. There are local eateries only minutes away.

If you're planning a trip to Yosemite, this is the place to go. Probably more suited for couples than a trip with kids. Most days it took us about 2 hours to get into the park because of the 2 lane, slow, windy roads. It was worth the drive though, because after a few hours in Yosemite, you will be glad to get away from the crowds. Robn and Trace are the perfect hosts for your stay!! You won't regret it!

Owner's Response: Hi Mirna and Brian! We can't thank you enough for the glowing review! You have a way with words and we are so happy you were comfortable while staying with us. I did ask Trace about the red cabin you mentioned, but it wasn't familiar to him. He thinks you may have taken the Snow Creek Trail and spotted an old ranger cabin. Thank you again for your kind words and we hope you come back for another visit. Safe travels.

A truly lovely home away from home

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay at Robin's Nest. The only problem is it was too short! Robin and Trace were beyond gracious hosts and just lovely people. The accommodations were great. Clean and everything you can think of is there for your needs. The bed was so comfortable. Peace and quiet after a long day of exploring the Yosemite area. We can't wait to come back to Robin's Nest and will be telling everyone we know about your place.

Perfect Space to use as your base to Yosemite

  • 5 of 5

Robin's Nest provided us with everything we required and more. Every detail was thought of and the pool was a relaxing bonus in the hot temperatures of Mariposa. Robn and Trace were wonderful people with nothing was too much trouble and their advice on hike routes ensured that we got to see things that we would have missed on the main trails of Yosemite.

Charming & clean

  • 5 of 5

Adorable, clean, and cozy! Located about 45 minutes from Yosemite Valley, this rental is located in the cute town of Mariposa. The apartment was perfect for my husband and I after long days sightseeing in the park. Robin was available to greet us upon arrival. The apartment was very clean and included many thoughtful small touches such as coffee creamer and juice in the fridge. An added perk for my gluten-free husband was the natural foods store located around the corner from Robin's Nest. Take-out sandwiches and a charming place to crash after long days in the park....perfect!

Way above expectation. Just perfect

  • 5 of 5

Robin's best is a perfect place to stay during our visit to Yosemite. Just 45 minutes (beautiful drive) to Yosemite Village, it is also next to some of the best restaurants we have tried in California.

Robn has equipped the cabin to every detail we can ask for during our visit. We were so impressed with it being more than just a holiday home. It's luxury compared to other holiday homes you can stay in.

Would certainly stay in Robin's best the next time we visit Yosemite.
