About the property

4 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Cabin On Culdesac With Gorgeous Mountain And Meadow Views

Welcome to our 'Cozy Cabin'

We fell in love with this house the minute we saw it, and we know you will too! This place truly defines the 'Tahoe Experience'. Located in the quiet, lovely Black Bart neighborhood, on a spacious, wooded lot, with a gorgeous meadow and stream across the way, you truly feel like you are away from it all. However, hop right on Pioneer Trail and you will be at Heavenly Ski Resort, the casinos, or the beach in just 5-10 minutes. Bijou Park with a skate park, playground, and fields are also within walking distance or a short bike ride away.

The charming house is located at the end of a culdesac, with no neighbors on either side. It is tucked away from the street, so it feels like you are secluded. Have kids? So do we. They will love running around and exploring the wooded lot, with NO traffic going by. We know our kids do!

Our cabin is newly renovated, top to bottom, with gorgeous wood floors, pine doors and trim, open, beautiful vaulted wood ceiling, granite counter-tops, and travertine tile.

Fast WiFi (N600 router) that has a strong signal throughout the house and will handle multiple devices with ease.

Keyless entry (4 digit code) makes it very convenient to come and go without having to carry a key. Especially convenient for larger groups since there is no need to share keys.

Downstairs, you will walk into a large open foyer, with the two bedrooms, a laundry room with full size washer/dryer, and a mud room to keep all those jackets and snow boots out of the way.

The master bedroom, on the first floor, has it's own bathroom with a newly tiled shower, tub and granite topped vanity. It also has a cozy, romantic fireplace, ceiling fan, two closets, flatscreen TV, and French doors leading out onto the porch. You will love the queen size bed, with a luxury plush mattress, soft pillows, and Pottery Barn bedding.

Also downstairs, the 'bunk room' has two sets of bunk beds, a flatscreen TV, Playstation 3 (with games), and lots of games for the kids to enjoy. It's a great place for the kids to hang out and have fun.

Both downstairs bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans. The home does not have air conditioning (as most Tahoe homes do not), however even in the summer the the nights are very cool and letting in the mountain air will be enough to cool you off.

Upstairs, you will be wowed by a large, open great room with new leather couches and a cozy floor to ceiling brick fireplace . A brand new 55' LG smart LCD TV (with internet access, Netflix, Hulu, etc), Blu-Ray DVD player, and a soundbar for rich theater sound. Want to listen to music? Just connect your mobile device (smartphone, iPOD, etc) to the soundbar for great sound.

The dining room table seats 8 and you will love enjoying the gorgeous view of Mt. Tallac right out the large picture window.

Adjacent to the open great room is the kitchen, with granite counter-tops, new appliances and a breakfast nook with seating for 4. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, dishes, coffee maker, toaster, crock pot, blender, just about anything you need!

Just off the great room is a huge deck with a beautiful view of the meadow out front. The deck has a patio table for outdoor dining, chaise lounges, BBQ, and a steaming hot tub ready to go.

Upstairs there are also two more bedrooms, each with a queen size bed, and one more bathroom. We splurged on super comfortable Sealy pillow top mattresses, soft pillows, and Pottery Barn bedding....so you are sure to have a good night's sleep every night.

We also just installed a new tankless water heater that never runs out of hot water....so your group can enjoy unlimited hot showers without ever worrying about running out of hot water.

There is also beach gear (beach chairs, umbrella, and a cooler) that is available for guest use in the summer months.

Booking: Your reservation will be confirmed when the first payment and signed rental agreement have been received. Minimum age for renters is 25. For adult groups, everyone in the group must be 25 or older.

Although the listing says it accommodates 10, the maximum number of adults allowed is 8. We will not accept reservations for parties with more than 8 adults. We do not allow adults to sleep on the upper bunk beds.

About Jamie Loosbrock

We love our Tahoe home and have made many fun memories here with friends and family, and we love sharing our 'home away from home' with other families. We live in Poway (a suburb of San Diego) and have two kids, ages 15 and 12. We grew up vacationing in Tahoe with our families, and it is a very special place to us.

Why Jamie Loosbrock chose South Lake Tahoe

We love this house because it feels like you are out in the woods, yet it is close to everything. Kids can run and play, and you don't have to worry about neighbors or cars going by. The meadow and mountain views are simply breathtaking. We absolutely love Tahoe and everything it has to offer, both winter and summer. We especially enjoy hiking, horseback riding, boating, jet skiing, all the beautiful beaches, lake activities, and of course just riding bikes around the neighborhood.

Beautiful Cozy Cabin

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 10 stayed at this cozy cabin for the Christmas weekend. It was the perfect location for us. Upon our arrival we found the home to be very spacious, clean, and warm. There were lots of games to play with, great speakers for music, and a good size TV. Some of us actually dared to get in the hot tub while it was snowing. It was incredible. The house is only 15 min away from Heavenly Resort. There are gift shops, iceskating, skiing, snowboarding, and casinos. We also drove out about 30 mins to Sierra Mountain for snowboarding. Overall, our experience was unforgettable. You will not regret your stay at this beautiful home.

Great cabin, great location, great owners

  • 5 of 5

We stayed with 6 adults and 2 toddlers from just after Christmas 2016 to New Year's 2017. The cabin was great. It's a nice mix of old style cabin and new updating. The location on Black Bart Ct is great for accessing all areas of South Lake Tahoe. The driveway is a little steep, as the description mentions, and when it was icy the non-4WD vehicles in our group had trouble getting up. We had a couple minor questions throughout the week and the owners were immediately responsive, addressing one question and making sure one minor issue got fixed that same evening. We'd definitely stay again!

Fairly Priced

  • 3 of 5

Cozy, clean, cabin feel which was nice. Location a plus. Liked the horse shoe pit. Price was nice. Owners very attentive to our needs. Layout of cabin problematic. Two baths, but one bath is in a bedroom on the ground floor. That necessitated four people to climb a staircase to get to the upstairs bathroom at night. When the four people are in their 50's and dealing with frequent nightly trips to the toilet, that was not an ideal situation. Sleeps 10, but not a functional TV area, dining area, and kitchen area for 10 people. Hot tub was awesome, along with deck and barbecue. If you are coming with 4 to 6 people, this is a four star place. 10 people, this is a two star stay.

Perfect relaxing and welcoming home base

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Black Bart property for four nights early this fall. We found the place to be just as wonderful as it looked in the photos. We loved the fireplace and the ability to synch our iphones to the sound system. The kitchen was the perfect size for cooking together and the cozy living room was perfect for relaxing and talking about the activities of the day. We also really enjoyed the hot tub and the quiet, beautiful surroundings. The house is in a great location. It was the perfect home base.
