Why Eric and Carolyn Lehto chose Idaho Springs
For us, this cabin and land is about privacy and the best of mountain living. There is no better place to spend time with our kids and extended family. Even though we live only 20 minutes away in Evergreen, this is where we go to "check out" from busy schedules. The roads to the cabin are maintained, so we can get there year-round. It is close enough to drive to either Idaho Springs or Evergreen restaurants and stores, and halfway between the city attractions of Denver and the ski slopes. Idaho Springs is about 20 minutes away down a mountain road with switchbacks. It has a great selection of restaurants, including our favorite Texas style barbecue at Smokin Yards, the famous Beau Jo's Pizza, and Tommyknockers micro brewery. Evergreen is 25 minutes away for additional restaurants, live bands at Little Bear Saloon or Cactus Jacks, large box grocery stores, Wal-mart, and Home Depot.

For our first experience in the Rockies, this cabin gave us all the amenities to enjoy our stay. We loved the seclusion and privacy. Amazing views, well attentive owner and maintenance man. We couldn’t imagine staying in another location as it was perfect for us. We definelty plan on bringing more of our family in the future. Thank you for deciding to share this amazing home.

Mountain Cabin Getaway
The cabin is amazing. The views and the property are perfect. Only 20 minutes from Idaho Springs down the mountain on a tricky little switchback road. The woodfired sauna on a cool fall night is a must.
If you don't spend a lot of time at altitude make sure you plan on a 1/2 day of so to get used be at 9600 feet - drink lots of water.
This property was perfect for our extended family's stay! The location is a bit remote (private) and the views absolutely stunning!! The home is beautiful and very spacious. The 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms are well situated providing lots of privacy even with a house full of people. The deck is huge and where we spent a lot of our time. The kitchen is well equipped, and the couches and beds are very comfortable. The caretaker Gary is really nice, stopped by to introduce himself and to make sure we had everything we needed. Communication beforehand with Eric and Carolyn was great. This property exceeded my expectations...we all loved it! Would love to come back again! Thank you Eric and Carolyn!
We hope you book with us again. Thank you for the amazing review!!
Beautiful views with all the comforts of home!
We loved this property. If you're looking for someplace to stay where you can get away from the hustle and bustle and crowds, this is the place. It's a bit of a drive up a dirt road to get to the cabin, but it's totally worth it. The view from the deck is absolutely amazing! It's quiet, serene and so relaxing. In the morning I would sit on the deck enjoying the views while hummingbirds flew by. The cabin was clean, nicely decorated and had everything you needed to make you feel at home. It's about an hour from Denver, 30 minutes from Red Rocks, and 2 hours from Rock Mountain NP. It takes about 20 minutes to drive down to the town of Idaho Springs. We saw some deer and a few foxes on the trip down. The town is really cute. We visited some stores and two of the local breweries; friendly staff and good beers. There was more than enough room for just my husband and I and we're already talking about going back to Colorado again with some of our friends. We just loved this area and this cabin. Everything was excellent. The pictures are a very good representation of the property. Lastly, Carolyn was a pleasure to deal with and very responsive to any questions we had. So glad we decided to stay at this beautiful cabin!
Amazing review. Thank you! What an incredible trip. We appreciate your time in writing about stay. Please book with us again. Wishing you safe travels home, Carolyn
