About PATRIZIA ZAMPINI
That's me ! Waiting for you at Castel Cellesi ! I live and work in Florence most of the time. If I'm not in the village, there is a multilingual host on site to welcome and assist my guests for the whole period of their stay.
PATRIZIA ZAMPINI purchased this House in 2005
Why PATRIZIA ZAMPINI chose Bagnoregio
Because Castel Cellesi is a very special place. One day, years ago, I went to visit my friend who had moved from Rome to this village to live here permanently. I was so stuck from this unusual, old style, secluded place that I decided immediately to buy a small house for my husband and myself.

We had an excellent time at Casa Verde in Castel Cellesi. We loved the pool area surrounded by fruit trees with stunning views of the Lazio countryside. We also enjoyed having a sundowner from the bar by the pool. The house was well equipped and comfortable. We used the barbeque area a short walk away for dinner. Highlights from the local area included the village festival at Bagnoregio, the beautiful town of Orvieto and Lake Bolsena which was good for swimming and a really good meal. Thank you to Patrizia and Carla for a thoroughly enjoyable week!
Peace and Beauty in the Italian Countryside
I stayed for a wonderfully peaceful and restful week at Casa Verde in Castel Cellesi. The Green House is just as presented, with every amenity, a stunning view, and very comfortable indeed. The village is quiet, charming, and the people of Castel Cellesi went out of their way to be inviting and ][poiuhlhelpful. It is perfectly situated for visits to Orvieto, Montefiascone, Bagnoregio, the beautiful gardens of Villa Lante, the Terme spas, wineries, and so much more.
Hosts Patrizia and Carla were so very welcoming and kind, and available for any need. I would highly recommend a stay with them at Castel Cellesi, and I certainly plan on returning myself!
thanks for your kind words about your stay at Green House
It was a great pleasure to welcome you to my property.. I was really very pleased to be able to meet you personally. I'm so happy that you enjoyed my place and all the area around Castel Cellesi.
I do hope to have you as my guest again in the near future.
Warm regards, all the best to you !
Castel Cellesi is located in a fantastic position: at the meeting point of three different regions Lazio, Umbria and Tuscany.
Nestled in the northern Tuscia - the Etruscan Italy - the village is made for relaxing, enjoying the swimming pool and the good food and wine of the area.
Yet it is surrounded by an incredible number of places of historic, archaelogical, artistic and scenic interest:
Sport activities: half-an-hour drive you get to Lake Bolsena for
fishing, sailing, bathing, sunbathing etc..
SPA - hot springs by Viterbo
Religious itineraries: Assisi, Orvieto, Bolsena (Miracle of Bolsena), Viterbo (Pope's Palace), the Via Francigena (pilgrim route) etc....
Archaelogy: Etruscan Necropolis, Ruins, Museums (Tuscania,
Tarquinia, Norcia, Blera etc..)
Civita di Bagnoregio (the dying city) isolated on a hilltop surrounded by 'Calanchi' (volcanic cliffs)
Siena, Florence and Rome are also easily reachable.
Montalto di Castro is the nearest beach on the Tyrrenian Sea. (60 km.)
HOW TO GET TO CASTEL CELLESI:
My Property is located in a rural village called Castel Cellesi belonging to the Municipality of Bagnoregio in the Province of Viterbo at the crossroad of three different regions: Lazio, Toscana and Umbria.
It's easily reachable from the Highway A1 (coming from north or south).
USING SAT NAVS OR NAVIGATOR SOFTWARE coming from South (Rome or Fiumicino Airport) type Orte then Montefiascone into your satnav ( don't type Castel Cellesi because navigators tend to take you onto a back road into the village. This road is not in use any longer and it is in terrible conditions).
After Montefiascone you can finally type Castel Cellesi into your satnav.
Coming from North leave the highway A1 at Orvieto then type Castel Cellesi into your satnav.
NOT USING Ant SatNavs or Navigator softaware, follow the instructions below:
To get to Castel Cellesi from Fiumicino Airport. You need to get on the motorway/highway A1 to Florence (Autostrada A1).
When you leave the airport, go in the direction of ROMA. Keep going and you will get to a point when you have a choice of going to, in one direction Firenze A1 or Napoli – go in the direction of Firenze. (Firenze is the Italian for Florence). Stay on this ring road until you get to the exit for Firenze – your aim in life at this point is to get on the motorway/highway to Firenze. Therefore exit here to go to Florence.
Just stay on this road until you arrive at ORTE, exit here at ORTE. You have to pay the toll, immediately turn left in the direction of ORTE and then follow signs to VITERBO. Once you are going in the direction of Viterbo, do not take the exit to Orte town, keep following VITERBO.
Stay on this road to Viterbo, you then need to exit at MONTEFIASCONE, which will be the exit after Vitorchiano. Once you exit, go left in the direction of Montefiascone. This is a bendy road.
At the end of this road go right in direction of BAGNOREGIO (not left Viterbo). Stay on this road for 14 kms and you willhave the turning to Castel Cellesi on the right.
To get to Castel Cellesi from the south or north, the above directions are easy to follow, as long as you exit at ORTE.
Alternitavely, coming from the north, you can exit the motorway/highway A1 at ORVIETO.
Once you have paid the toll, go right in the direction of Orvieto. You will come to a big roundabout, you need to turn left here, this means taking the third exit from the roundabout. Go straight (you will have the town of Orvieto high up on your right). You will come to a turning left signposted, amongst other things, BAGNOREGIO. Turn left here and follow signs all the way to Bagnoregio.
Castel Cellesi is on the road from Bagnoregio to Viterbo. So from Bagnoregio you need to get on
the Viterbo road.
As you come into Bagnoregio, there is a mini-roundabout, here go right. Keep going and bear left vhere you see signposted Viterbo. Go straight, you will come to a fork right to Montefiascone, do not turn here, but keep left to Viterbo. Saty on this road. You will pass a turning left to Vetriolo. Do not turn here. Keep on the road, you will drive through a little wood, at the end of the wood, is the turning left to Castel Cellesi.
