Another wonderful stay in Paradise

We returned to stay at the "Mas de Tarnie" for a third, because we have fallen in love with this place; it has become our home away from home. We feel completely relaxed and very happy when staying there. Any issues / problems are very quickly dealt with: Vincent, the owner is a wonderful landlord; both, Paul and Natalie, who look after the house, garden & pool, go out of their way to make sure everything is in order. This time it was going to be a special occasion: our daughter had decided that she wanted to get married at the house. We couldn't have chosen a better place for this special celebration. It was absolutely magical; we did all the planning and organising and decorating; everything went very smoothly. All the guests (coming from Germany, Britain, Canada & The States) commented many times over how beautiful this property is: the old stone Mas, the open garden, the pool area - it was fantastic. We visited local wineries, who supplied the wonderful wines; an excellent catering service who treated us to some very delicious food. Our daughter was very very happy; she said that she couldn't have chosen a more enchanting place than this Mas. We'll be back next year for sure. Thank you Vincent.

Mas Ternier - an Oasis

My husband and I spent one month in Mas Ternier - and loved every minute of it. In fact, we are already planning our return. This place is absolutely magic: a typical southern French farm house, situated in the middle of nothing but vinyards, trees, bushes, herbs & flowers. It's very very peaceful and tranquille; the only sound you can hear are the birds and the donkey in the nearby field. The ideal place to relax, write a book, paint.... But at the same time it takes only 20 min to drive by car to Jacou Tram Stop, where you can leave your car and take the tram into Montpellier. Also, it is easy to get onto major roads to visit the many lovely French villages and domaines. The house itself is lovely and very spacious: thick stone walls to keep it cool indoors; typical stone floors; lots of light floods in throught the patio doors and windows which makes the living area nice and bright. The kitchen is well equipped with many pots & dishes & electrical appliances; the outdoor stone barbecue area is very well done. In the evening one can sit outside at a nice big table; there are lots of little lights (on an electrical timer) all along the pathways and in the graden. It looks really magic. The garden is very large; enough room to let the kids run around, play a game of football, cricket etc etc. We had a lot of fun playing table tennis and football. In addition, there is a beautiful pool which is kept very clean. Any issues or problems with the house or garden are solved very quickly; a lovely young man who lives in the same village will come right away and deal with your problems. Pour nous ce lieu est magique et nous avons eu un temps très difficile de partir.

Another wonderful stay in paradise

We returned for our second stay at this wonderful, peaceful and relaxing farmhouse - and once again, enjoyed every minute of it. While my husband was working at Montpellier University I thoroughly savoured the quiet setting of this place - reading, going for walks, yoga and swimming in the lovely pool. To us, this place has become our "second home away from home" (which for us is Canada); the house has everything one needs to make the stay as enjoyable as possible: enough room and utensils to cook wonderful meals - in nearby Jacoo is a great supermarche where one can get the most delicious fresh fish, which we prepared over the outdoor barbecue. Then there is the outdoor ping-pong table - where we fought many battles! The weather was absolutely wonderful this spring; in fact it got so hot that we asked Paul to put up the covering above the outdoor dining table in order to eat all our meals outside. Paul is a very pleasant and friendly young man who looks after the pool and gardens and everyhing else that needs fixing around the house. He was always eager to practice his English with me while I tried to make myself understood in French. We had some good laughts! Then there is Natalie, who comes out to meet people on their arrival and departure date. We had some issue with the internet, and she was very quick in getting the problem solved. And of course Vincent, the owner, who is so very accommodating and helpful when it comes to organizing the stay. This year we had quite a few visitors from around Europe and every single one of them were just mesmerized by this wonderful place. It's not just the wonderful house, with its tranquil and mythical setting, but also Vincent, Paul & Natalie who make this place feel like "home" to us. We'll be back next year for sure! south of france

schönes,ländliches,ruhig gelegenes ortstypisches südfranzösisches haus mit riesigem, teilweise naturbelassenem grundstück und schönem pool( mit poolpflege).sehr gut ausgestattete küche, ausreichend geschirr und besteck...auch für 13 personen.hübsche,gepflegte baeder,große räume,kamin. nette dame vor ort, sofort zu erreichen,sehr hilfsbereit, freundl. besitzer, der ca.4mal im jahr einen anbau mit eigenem parkplatz, eingang und terasse nutzt. südfrankreich- wie es typischer kaum sein kann. schöner ort, gute einkaufsmöglichkeiten, sehenswürdigkeiten und das hinterland sowie die camargue gut zu erreichen! vielen dank!!

Urlaub wie man es sich nur träumen lässt ...

Hallo ! Ein sehr abgelegener Mas, mitten im Pinienwald ! Sehr angenehmes und zugleich praktisches Haus. Helle, freundliche und grosse Zimmer, prima Austattung und sehr freundlicher Empfang. Ideal für Besichtigungen tagsüber (Montpellier, Nimes, Camargue) und abends ein ruhiger Ort zum Entspannen (Swimming-Pool, Barbecue und Pastis natürlich). Ich kann ihn nur weiterempfehlen ... Wir waren mit Grosseltern und Kindern dort, ideal auch für Grosfamilien oder mehrere Paare.
