This spacious, open-concept studio apartment is set to sleep you, and up to 2 others, in total comfort and style.

Proud with pedigree, Suite Shagalicious is a jewel within the showcase home praised for its architectural style and interior design chops, appearing in a full-feature layout for Seattle Times’ Pacific NW Magazine.

Punctuated with original art, including impressionistic figure paintings, and furnished with a mix of modern and period designer pieces, The Shag is a skillful blend of the iconic past and all the modern upgrades one would expect in a contemporary boutique vacation rental setting. Well-appointed eat-in kitchen, defined living and sleeping areas, full-service laundry room, private bathroom and shower, and a luxurious, wrap-around, wood-burning fireplace all located on one floor, no stairs. The wonderful advantage of this layout is everything centers on the fireplace and the HD Satellite TV to enjoy from both the bed, and the sofa.

Speaking of comfort, we receive many accolades for our king size, memory foam, Bragada bed. Outfitted with 4 pillows; 2 Pacific Coast down (no goose feathers, here) and 2 memory-foam, this bed is one of luxury rarely available even at high-end hotels.

The additional traveler in your party will enjoy the suites’ American Leather Comfort Sleeper, a sofa that opens to a Double bed featuring an exclusive memory foam mattress on a platform foundation. This sleeper is the industry standard, guaranteed to provide a superb nights’ sleep without springs. No fear of losing coin flips, here!

Of particular value is the advantage of private outdoor living space that comes as a bonus with the suite rental. The outdoor areas live like that of a full-sized home thanks to the professional talents of landscape architect, Brooks Kolb and Tallar Landscaping & Construction. A gorgeous, well-lit, private entry and serene, modern water feature greet you at the front door. The water feature placement ensures it can be seen from the kitchen and heard through the open window to wonderful effect. The single-light back door opens to a private, all-season, covered cedar porch for magnificent sunset views over the Puget Sound and snow-capped Olympic peaks. The sea air here is remarkable. And beyond the porch lays a gated courtyard for BBQ’s and other private-use enjoyment. Past the gate is a fire bowl for campfire-style entertainment during summer-season…toasted marshmallows, anyone?

There’s no shortage of free, convenient street parking near this property managed by Sea to Sky Rentals. The corner bus provides a 10-minute ride to Downtown, leaving every 20 minutes. Alki Beach and Fauntleroy Ferry are both 7-minute rides. Our location is only blocks to the California Junction and Farmer’s Market. With a walk to Morgan Street Junction shopping, drug store, convenience store, library, golf course, parks and church.

Here on a work trip where the assumption was I'd stay in one of the big downtown hotels, but saw this place and am so pleased I booked it up instead. My only worry was that travel into the centre would be difficult, but getting in from The Shag is really easy. A bus stop about a 100m away and one simple trip gets you to the centre. Added to which at the Shag you get great views, a very comfortable, well equipped apartment (the Wi-Fi was also useful for keeping in touch) and a perfect base for hiring a car to explore the Seattle area. Highly recommended!

Sabrina puts a lot of thought and effort into thinking of everything you might need for your stay and giving you great instructions/info printed in the unit so you can be self-sufficient. We've stayed in the Suite twice now, and both times everything was clean, well-kept, well organized. And of course, the decor is much kitsch, it will win you over. I'd recommend a rental car as your mode of transport, since there's a little drive down the hill to most of the restaurants. We love the Suite and would recommend it!

The property was very easy to find and we happened to be greeted by the owner upon our arrival. The property was very clean and well kept. Plenty of space for 3 adults. We really enjoyed the backyard seating area as well. Also the owner was awesome! Very friendly and accommodating! Would absolutely recommend this property and will be back for sure!

My son and I had a reunion for a few days and this was a very comfy place to go out to West Seattle Beaches and relaxing and inviting enough for a night in. The front porch has a fountain and the back balcony has a nice view of the sunset. The fireplace was nice cozy added touch, and the inside temps stay nice and cool during the hot days. The kitchen was well equipped, the decor very nostalgic and the tv had lots of channels and also provided DVDs. We would stay again. Also, had a washer and dryer and a fan. The only thing I might change is to have a bathtub, as I love baths, but not a deal breaker. Definitely better than a hotel, and we felt very private, never a sound from the owners upstairs who really respected our privacy. Enjoy

This 50's style studio was a little quirky In a good way as far as decor. It was in a convenient location and we went from Mt St Helen to Anacortes and all in between. We had everything we needed and the layout was well thought out. I highly recommend it.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable with lots of hooks and shelves in the bathroom! The laundry room was a welcome space - it served as my husband's reading room when he awoke earlier than I did! The outdoor sitting area is lovely, the view magnificent. And the apartment is only perhaps a block and a half from a bus stop to downtown. I hope the apartment will be available when I next travel to West Seattle.
