This 1000 square foot historic home is located in the heart of the Marigny Triangle, only 1 block from the French Quarter and 3 blocks to Bourbon St. Only 4 blocks from the music filled Frenchmen St. And only 3 blocks To Louis Armstrong Park.

The kitchen has custom made cabinets with marble counter tops and island. The kitchen is fully stocked with all your culinary needs to keep you busy during your vacation whether you are just looking to make a quick breakfast or if you are serving dinner for eight!

Enter the home into the living room with oversized couch, which pulls out to be a queen bed which sleeps 2, plus a regular (non pullout)couch that can sleep one, flat screen TV w DVD, and IPod dock. A set of French doors separates the living room from the first bedroom.

The first bedroom has a full sized captains bed which sleeps 2. The bedroom also has, .a separate love seat,a full closet, large dresser, end table, mantle, and IPod dock/radio. A privacy curtain separates the first bedroom from the second bedroom.

Beyond the second bedroom is the amazing updated eat in kitchen w table seating for 8, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, etc. Stainless everything! Off kitchen is the bathroom, laundry room, and back yard with deck and patio furniture. The bathroom features an amazing oversized walk in tile shower.

The house features a great covered front porch with patio furniture, 10-12 foot high ceilings throughout house, original wide planked wooden floors, tile floors in kitchen and baths, tons of natural lighting, classic local art, and much more.

The home is great for families and groups of all lifestyles. The 30’x30’ backyard is a perfect sized for private events. The neighborhood is friendly and accommodating to all, host to many local bars and restaurants for all tastes and styles. The home is non-smoking, but smoking is permitted outside in courtyard.

What you should know. This neighborhood like most in the city of New Orleans is culturally diverse, up and coming, and in a state of gentrification. In short, you must be comfortable with being exposed to all walks of life.

Also it is important to understand the lay out of the house. It is a classic New Orleans architecture style known as a Shotgun House. Meaning you walk through each room to get to the next. There are no separate hallways.

Bonus. World famous street artist Banksy has a well known piece The Umbrella Girl on a building right across the street.

Perfect location!

This is my 3rd year in a row staying at this house. It's always been extremely clean and everything has always been in working order. I love the location and enjoy walk to the Quarter and Bourbon as it's not very far away. Jesse is pleasure as well and is available anytime if we need anything or have any questions. The back patio is my favorite feature of the house as it's private and quite large. Seeing as I keep coming back... it goes without saying that I highly recommend staying here. :)

Amazing experience

Clean house, great location, lot's of space - could not have asked for anything more. The owner was very responsive and the neighbor even folded my clothing from the washer!

Do note, however, that this is a shared duplex with a joined backyard. It didn't effect our stay but it's definitely just something good to know.

Great location, wonderful living space.

Very comfortable for the two of us. Beautiful kitchen, great front porch and back patio. Close enough to everything, yet enough away that it's quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended!

Cute and Quite

We really enjoyed our stay at the Smile house. The house is within walking distance from everything! Nice quite neighborhood! The only downfall is that you are not able to park in front of the house and have to either park on the busy main road or a block or so away.
