About the property

Luxury Cabin, 4 Master Bdrms, Theater Seats, Hot Tub, Game Rm, Loft, Sleeps 12+

Gatlinburg Mountain Escape is a gorgeous, three level cabin with four master bedrooms and a spectacular view that sleeps twelve (or more, if small children). You can really appreciate the 'take-your-breath-away' views all year round from anywhere on the 800 square feet of deck. At night, you even have a quiet view of the city lights of Pigeon Forge and Sevierville with the cabin lights sparkling throughout the valley below.

Your next cabin vacation to Gatlinburg's Mountain Escape provides every modern convenience without affecting the quiet solitude of the mountains. The high speed wireless router allows for plenty of bandwidth for everyone to be using the internet at the same time.

The main floor has a living area, kitchen, and dining area that is a large, open space with enough room for the whole family to enjoy each other's company.

The living room offers a graceful sofa, two large chairs; french doors to the main level deck with a gas grill off the dining area. The 37” flat screen TV above the gas fireplace is connected to a Samsung BluRay player has apps built in for viewing Netflix, HuluPlus, or other popular streaming services. In addition there is a five disc DVD/CD/MP3 surround sound system.

The modern kitchen is fully equipped, has a well-designed dining table that seats eight, and the kitchen breakfast bar offers four pub style saddle stools. Sit in the rocking chairs on the deck while you drink your morning coffee and listen to the sounds of nature float up from the valley. Enjoy the magnificent view as the sun rises behind you and begins to shine on Bluff Mountain as late morning begins to settle in.

Every bedroom is a master and is basically identical to the others with a king bed, 32” LED TV, the same Samsung BluRay with apps found throughout the cabin, electric fireplace, and private bathroom.

Each bedroom has a door to the deck with private seating to enjoy the solitude of the cabin and relaxing environment that surrounds it.

The main floor master bathroom has a jetted tub for 2, pedestal sinks, and shower.

The upper level decks are private and accessed from each bedroom. They offer the most impressive views in the cabin.

Between the bedrooms is the loft with a spacious sitting area, a stylish and comfortable sofa, pub table for cards, and windows out the front and back of the cabin.

In addition, there is a small business center area equipped with a desk, high speed internet connection, printer, fax, scanner, and copier for your use while on the road. So, we have removed any reason for you to rush back to the office. Why not extend your stay for the entire week, even if you have a little work to do (just don't forget to take time for yourself).

The lower level features are full of fun and games. There is a 7 1/2 foot bar sized pool table, arcade machine, wet bar, microwave, and mini fridge to stock for convenience. Beginning in May, there will be theater seats at the back of the theater room, so everyone in your party can watch movies or view pictures together on the 70 inch LED High Definition TV screen.

The home theater area with its gigantic 70” LED TV with apps has a Samsung BluRay with apps, and five disc DVD/CD/iPod/MP3 surround sound system attached.

The bathroom on the lower lever has a full tub and shower with a double sink and counter with plenty of room to spread out.

The lower level deck is spacious and still higher than the closest neighbors roof. It holds a six person hot tub for all to enjoy with outside speakers to listen to music or listen to the movie being watched inside the theater room.

A stacked washer and dryer is located in a large closet behind the wet bar with an iron and board if your in the area for a more formal affair.

Regardless of why you came to the Smoky Mountain area, we want you to enjoy the cabin so much, you'll have trouble leaving in the morning and will be rushing to get back at night.

About Mark Brandenburg or Chris Manke

Mark and Chris have been lifelong friends. Both are married with 3 children and live modest lives. This cabin allows them to stay close and provides their families with lifelong memories, just like it will for you.

Mark Brandenburg or Chris Manke purchased this cabin in 2007

Why Mark Brandenburg or Chris Manke chose Tennessee

When Mark discovered Gatlinburg on a business trip, he told Chris about the area and how much there was to do. So, they drove down to find the perfect lot to build their vacation home. Knowing they couldn't do this without their better halves, they had their wives join them for the second half of their stay to take in the sites.

They were particular in the lot they were looking to purchase. They wanted a spectacular view, but didn't want to be part of a cleared mountain top with cabins on top of other cabins. It needed to have some privacy, but still be convenient to the attractions in the area. Too far away from the Smoky Mountains meant you'd have to drive forever just to get anywhere worth going. Too close in town meant you'd be listening to traffic and city noise instead of to the nature you came there to appreciate.

So, they finally found a site to build that met all of their needs. It has one of the best views in the area (the pictures don't really capture how impressive it is) and is on a dead end road with only 2 other cabins. However, other cabins are sprinkled in the trees below giving our guests the majestic feeling of royalty overlooking their kingdom.

Mark and Chris designed the cabin to provide as big of a cabin as the lot could hold and to maximize the views and the spaces inside. The bedrooms are spacious enough for you to spread out for your extended stay. We want our guests to make this their vacation cabin for their stay.

The kitchen and main level living area were designed to enjoy the view, provide a great place to entertain, yet cozy enough to relax and enjoy the ambiance of the environment.

The all wood spiral staircase was used to maximize the other spaces of the cabin and add warmth to the decor.

The game room and theater room are adjacent and open to allow everyone to enjoy each other and the entire space they share.

The upper loft is a great place to be away and still present all at the same time.

What makes this cabin unique

There are very few vacation properties that provide million dollar views, solitude, modern conveniences, and easy access to all area attractions.

The drive up to the cabin just long enough to give you the feeling you are really in the mountains (not just in a cabin), but short enough you are back in town in less than 10 minutes. It's very convenient whether you want to go into the Smoky Mountain National Park or spend the day at Dollywood or even at the outlet stores in Pigeon Forge. You're never far from the cabin, so you can maximize your vacation time doing the things you came to the area to enjoy.

While the pictures don't show it yet, actual theater chairs with built in cup holders are going to be installed by the end of April. They will be elevated to provide a great view of the 70' LED screen no matter where you sit.

Cabin is equipped to provide a perfect family gathering or getaway. Whether it be 4 couples, or 3 families or 2 families with lots of kids, Gatlinburg Mountain Escape (formerly on Timber Tops Cabin Rentals) has the ability to handle your group of 12 adults or less (ask about adjusting our maximum occupancy higher if there are several children in the group). We are less than 20 minutes from Dollywood, Belle Island in Pigeon Forge, Downtown Gatlinburg, the Smoky Mountains National Park, and the Arts & Crafts District. There is a lot to do in East Tennessee and Gatlinburg Mountain Escape is positioned to be right in the middle of it all.

Wonderful views

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is very nice and the views are worth the drive up. You are basically on top of the mountain. Mark was very responsive to our needs. We had three families staying and the layout of the cabin was perfect, plenty of space to be together as well as privacy for each family. Over all we had a great time.

Our group rented this cabin for a college reunion/birthday celebrations/couples long weekend. There was a little trepidation about the cabin. Would it truly live up to the reviews and pictures listed on the website? I am happy to report that it did! Each person who walked in the front door used one word to describe the cabin: Wow!

Wow is truly the word that describes this rental. The view as you walk in the front door which draws you to the main floor deck - wow; the spiral staircase that goes up to the second floor and down to the lower level - wow; the view from the second floor bedroom balconies - wow; the cabin amenities - wow; the curvy, steep drive to the cabin - wow!

Don't get me wrong, the cabin did have a few minor flaws: the front door was tricky to open even with the owner's warning and instructions. The kitchen was fully stocked, however, we could only locate 2 kitchen towels and 1 kitchen washcloth. The hottub was great, but it was in sleep mode when we arrived and there were no instructions on how to reset it. Of course, we our adults and just Googled it. It took a little time for the water to heat up but no problems after that. The guys wanted to watch sports on the big screen in the lower level but even with Google could not figure out how to do that. Like I said, minor flaws.

The owner was VERY helpful through the whole process of renting, arriving, and troubleshooting. Everyone in our group would recommend this cabin.

Great Place with a Few Considerations

  • 5 of 5

Overall this is a wonderful property. The views are nothing short of spectacular. We misssd out on the fireworks as we arrived too late in the season. The bedrooms are all equal and comfortable in every way. The common spaces allow group dining, sitting on the porch, media viewing and gaming. The property is really first rate. Now for the considerations: 1) the drive up is very intimidating the first time or two and especially after dark. After a few trips we turned off the gps and felt like locals. Just know that the first impression is a lot worse than it is. 2) the appliances are tires and need updating. The dishwasher and dryer especially need replacing. 3) bring your own soap. For a first class place they leave miniature soaps! 4) sound travels throughout. ! So an impressive place with some things that you can accept. You book for the views, the comfort and spaces. And there are a few things that could be better.

This place was awesome.

First off it is beautiful inside and out. It has everything you will need in the kitchen for cooking meals. Downstairs fun room was great my adult kids loved it. We all enjoyed the main level deck. If we go again I will spend more time at the house instead of touring the area.
