Lovely and Well-Located
We enjoyed 11 days in this little apartment on a quiet street just a few blocks from the Eiffel Tower and walking distance to many other Paris sights. Laundromats, shops and good restaurants on our little street and anything you need on the main streets at either end of the block. The apartment is amazingly well equipped, even band-aids for my blistered toe and tape for our well-worn map! The kitchen had all you could need for light cooking; we especially appreciated the condiments, spices etc. Stephan left the very best information binders we’ve seen in a rental property. There was lots of space to unpack and store our stuff. Florence was great! We speak little French and Florence speaks little English but we managed quite well with the help of Google Translate. We would stay there again and also would recommend to others.
a fine little living machine in the heart of Paris
the apartment was exactly as I was able to picture it from the website: tiny and a bit dark, located at the bottom of a "light shaft" of three or four floors of apartments above it. There is only one window, overlooking the trash storage area in an inside courtyard, and the so-called "patio" is a bit of a joke--neither private nor comfortable for sitting and enjoying more open space. But I knew all this from the start, so I was not disappointed. On the plus side, the apartment is beautifully clean, well-appointed, and tended, located in a quiet building in a central and picturesque area of the city. Everything I needed--restaurants, delightful markets, the metro--was basically right at my doorstep. A delightful little living machine sequestered in the middle of a great part of Paris. Stephan was a gracious and attentive host, and Florence, the manager, was more than attentive to my every need. I was well satisfied with my stay, having booked the place with no illusions about spacious quarters or scenic vistas of Paris. But it worked, well, and I had a delightful time. thank you
Thank you very much for your answer that reflects my apartment. I appreciated your franchise. Good continuation.
An excellent experience!
My husband and I spent 10 days in Stephan's apartment and we highly recommend it, short term or long term. The apartment is welcoming, nicely decorated and with all amenities. It felt like home from the beginning. It is close to buses and the metro line connecting the area to all the important attractions in Paris. Rue Cler is a short walk from the apartment. This apartment allows you to experience life as a Parisian, which is what we appreciated. We could cook something light at home or choose to eat at one of the many restaurants in the area. The Eiffel Tower is a five-minute walk, which is really nice, especially in the evening, when you can go and watch the full splendor of its lights.
This was a beautiful apartment for my husband and I. It’s in a perfect location for of course the Eiffel Tower but multiple grocery stores, laundromats (which you shouldn’t need because you have one in the apartment) and restaurants galore! We rented a car during our stay which had multiple garage options about a half a block away. Everything you could think of the apartment had.
We had one small confusion when first arriving and that was because there is two number 8 buildings on the same street . We first went to the wrong door and was wondering why the code wasn’t working. I highly recommend this beautiful apartment to anyone looking. It’s also very quiet for those not wanting the noise of the city. I would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat!
Waou, thanks for your very very nice review. We appreciated.
Amazing apartment in a fabulous location
This is a small but amazingly efficient apartment about 10 minutes walk from the Eiffel Tower. Communications for excellent, and the host greeted me on my arrival and came to collect the keys when we were ready to go, at our convenience. The apartment is a one-bedroom, with a small but extremely well supplied and efficient kitchen. The bathroom is split into lavatory and shower room, both also very small but efficient and comfortable. Many nice touches such as reading lights, towel warmer, and basic cooking supplies provided. The bed was very comfortable, the chairs in the dining area much less so; really our only complaint was there was no place comfortable to sit and read in the evening.. the apartment is not handicapped-accessible although it is on the ground floor due to steps required to get in and out, essentially you are entering through a French door with a high threshold. Entry is through the small patio area with the blue chairs. While we were there it was off and raining and we did not use the patio much, but it is a very pleasant small private space. No view, it is in the middle of a group of buildings. The washer and dryer was extremely helpful, although there are also laundromats in the neighborhood. As a matter of fact, you can find anything you need in the neighborhood. Boulangerie, fromagerie , Patisserie, boucherie, charcuterie, antique shops, wine shops, The Rue Cler markets where one can spend shocking amounts of money on fabulous fresh produce (shopping tip: anywhere else in the neighborhood will tell you the same fruit for 1/4 the price) and on and on it went. There is a small supermarket and an ATM within 5 minutes walk. 10 minutes gets you to the Metro at École Militaire and from there you can go anywhere. I cannot say enough good things about this little apartment. The price was very reasonable for the excellent amenities, and it was wonderful not have to climb stairs after a day of scootering and walking Paris until we were ready to drop. if I am lucky enough to have time to explore Paris again, I would happily stay Here again.
This is the fourth year I’ve stayed in this apartment and I love it. It’s a great location with lots of good restaurants in the area.
