About Michelle Crumm
My husband and I have been married for 24 years. We have three amazing kids and all of us love to travel. We live in Ann Arbor, but love to go “Up North” during the summer. We love the carefree days, roaming the beach, frolicking in the bay, hiking on the trails, playing in the water, and then enjoying the beach with a glass of wine. We have been coming to Northport every year since 1997. In the early years it was just the two of us with our books and bikes. Now we visit with our three kids. We have been fortunate to travel to most of the US and abroad. However Northport remains one of our favorite places to travel. We are excited to share our home with you so that this can become one of your favorite places as well.
Michelle Crumm purchased this House in 2011
Why Michelle Crumm chose Northport
Our mom and dad moved to Northport in 1997 after they retired. All of the siblings and spouses and grandkids visit each year. With growing families, we decided to get a place of our own, but wanted to be close enough that we could still enjoy the family time together. This home is just a short distance from family. Our kids can walk to Grandmas.
What makes this House unique
We love the sand on the beach and the ability to see a sunrise from the deck. It is close enough to everything, but far enough to relax. The stars at night are breathtaking. The home itself has a view of Lake Michigan from almost every place in the entire house. We love the long walks, hiking trails, kayaks, and star gazing that are all accessible to enjoy.

Great view of Grand Traverse Bay!
We felt very comfortable here. The furnishings were beautiful and comfortable. The beds were the best we ever had in a rental. The kitchen was well stocked and the quality was excellent. The East wall was all windows which made for a great view. We left a purse behind at check out and a local family member sent it to us which was really fantastic! Thank you for sharing your little bit of heaven!
Great week “up north”!
We really enjoyed this very clean and well organized home. Everything looked new. Michelle has thought of everything! And Northport is such a wonderful little town with a beach, park, water toy and bike rentals, a marina, restaurants, ice cream shop, pizza shop, great bakery (Barb’s), and a Friday night concert in the park. We took advantage of it all! Would do this home again!
Beautiful updated house on the water!
This is a house I will rent again. A lot of thought went into making this a very comfortable vacation home. Beautifully updated and clean . I was looking for a home on water as a little get away for my sisters and I to have some time together. It fit the bill perfectly! Lots of windows and a beautiful porch/deck! Thank you very much!
Perfect Michigan Summer Vacation
We loved the cottage-clean, modern appliances and view. So many things to do to enjoy our Michigan summer, too!
Beautiful house with a spectacular view! So peaceful.
The house was beautiful! Every little detail in this house made it easy to relax and have everything you needed! The house was very clean as well. The view was so surreal! We loved having the kayaks to use. We could not believe how turquoise and clear the water was. Of course the water level was high so we understand that the fire pit could not be used, but would have been great to have one. Northport is a very cute little town and we enjoyed some local restaurants. We hope someday to be able to come back and visit again! We wish we could have stayed longer than a weekend. Thank you for sharing your lovely home.
Beautiful North of Northport Home
Amazing sunrises, peaceful evenings and lots of family time. The home had plenty of towels, dishes, and a modern kitchen and had two living areas. Close proximity to the Leelanau State Park and lighthouse, it was less than a half hour to Leland and Suttons Bay.
Location, location, location! We are located on the bay side of Leelanau Peninsula right on Lake Michigan. If you want the “Up North Beach” experience without the wind, we’ve got it. Northport is situated near the tip of the Leelanau Peninsula, overlooking Grand Traverse Bay. Northport is a picture-perfect town, with a marina, waterfront, unique shops, galleries, and restaurants.
