There is a public boat launching ramp adjacent to the property for your watercraft. House is conveniently located beside a small inn which would lend itself for any overflow guests.

The house has kept its ambiance of days gone by. Very large rooms with outstanding views and four distinct living areas offer privacy to those seeking solitude! A fully remodeled new (Summer 2014) kitchen features Sub Zero and Wolf appliances, new living room, new den, entrance foyer, library, laundry room, breakfast room and formal dining room are located on the first floor, along with two newly added outdoor decks and a large outdoor patio. Also on the first floor is a long sun porch that is typical of the classic Bar Harbor-style cottages. Views, views, views from every room.

The spacious, sunny, charming enclosed sun porch that runs much of the waterside of the house invites cocktail parties, luncheons, or snuggling up with a book.

Amazing stay
Our group rented the property for a professional retreat. The host couldn’t have been easier to work with. The group really enjoyed the beautiful grounds. You can beat dockside deliver of lobster! Great location in every way possible.

Problematic Bathrooms/Communication, Good Property
I recently stayed at this VRBO rental, and while the property itself is undeniably beautiful and charming, my experience was marred by significant communication issues and a discrepancy between the listing and the actual amenities. The Bad: Out of the 6 bathrooms that were listed, only 2 had showers, and unfortunately, only 1 of those was functional as the other was clogged. We contacted the property manager regarding this issue and were initially promised handheld showers, but they never followed through, and communication ceased. Despite numerous attempts to reach out after our stay and find a reasonable solution, the property manager delivered none. This lack of responsiveness and accountability has left us frustrated and disappointed. The Good: On a positive note, the property itself is truly amazing. It boasts an old-world charm, is waterfront, and offers ample space and parking. Additionally, its proximity to Acadia National Park, just 40 minutes away, makes it a desirable location for nature enthusiasts. Side note: As a part of the compensation, the VRBO customer service refunded their share of the property charges, but the host still clearly mentioned no financial compensation will be provided. In conclusion, while the property itself is a gem, the breakdown in communication and the discrepancy in the bathroom amenities have cast a shadow over our experience. We are currently working on ways to secure partial compensation.

Beautiful View
The house was built in 1889 so the property had a ton of character. The house was very roomy and plenty of room for our family. The views from this house are amazing and one of my favorite memories of Maine. . Even though the house had plenty of bathrooms, only 2 of them had showers and the remainder was just a bathtub- so if you are the type of person that does shower only - hope you get the bath with the shower :) Overall we were all very pleased with our stay here.

Wonderful home.
My group and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location and views were simply spectacular, and the home is lovely. It reminded us all of the great stately yet unpretentious summer houses of days gone by. The only issue we had was mildew in some of the rooms that needs to be tended to. We would definitely stay here again!

Estate setting with incredible views - absolute perfection - loved it.
I can't believe the views - really like a postcard. The whole house is beautiful and very well maintained. Very large estate home with six bedrooms, many sitting and living rooms, each with spectacular water views. The kitchen has a SubZero refrigerator and a Wolf range, if that gives you an idea of the quality of the home. This is classic, elegant Maine waterfront living like I had imagined. Quiet and private and perfect. There's no reason for us to ever search for another Maine rental again. You can't beat Sealight.

Sealight has been successfully rented out as a vacation home since 2014 and has received only outstanding reviews. Why they chose this property

It's a classic Maine waterfront family compound. Sealight offers what many consider the best views in the state of Maine. Lovely, quiet neighborhood. Plenty of privacy. Close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park but removed from the crowds.

What makes this property unique

VIEWS, VIEWS, VIEWS!!! This house is comfortable with a large family occupying and equally wonderful for a single or couple to relax with a good book and a cup of coffee and just enjoy the gracious embrace of 'Sealight.'
