Had a comfortable stay at the property. Nice sea views.
It is in a good location. Nice and peaceful yet only 10 min stroll to the centre,
Great place at a lovely location
We had a fantastic 9 days in Sylvia’s apartment. She was very responsive and flexible with arrival and check out times which helped us a lot with our 2 small kids.
The apartment was lovely, airy once windows were opened. Kitchen had all utensils you would need.
Bathroom was a good size and it had a washing machine which was perfect.
The only thing we found was that the second bedroom was a bit stuffy with both kids but overall the place was just great.
The location was perfect. Right in front of the café and their pool but also only 10min walk or so from the sea.
The closest beach was beautiful and the longest beach in menorca. So it never felt overly crowded.
The town itself was small but had everything you could possibly need at normal prices. Lovely restaurants, a few supermarkets, bakery, doctor and so on.
We’ll definitely be back!
Minorca, Son Bou, casa vacanza 6093074.
Son Bou is a beach town with the same name in the municipality of Alajor. With its 2.5 kilometers of golden sand is the longest beach in Menorca. The village is divided into 3 parts, offers many services, shops and restaurants. Behind the beach is a large area of wetlands: Es Prat de Son Bou, protected nature reserve. At 20 minutes by car are the beaches of Cala Galdana and Cala En Porter. Near the first place there are, perhaps, the most beautiful beaches in Cala Mitjana and Mitjaneta, while the latter is famous also for the Cova d'en Xoroi, charming restaurant housed in caves overlooking direct sea you can enjoy the sunset while sipping a cocktail, dinner or dance until late at night (reservations recommended). Always in the evening, facilitated by poszione central, you can hike to the east in Mahon, the current capital just 20 minutes drive to the west from Ciutadella, the old capital to 35 minutes, or north to Fornells, 30 min, famous for caldareta lobster but also for its Cale: Pregonda and Cavalry, characterized by red sand. In addition to the natural scenery (the island is a UNESCO biosphere reserve) in Son Bou you can do "back in time": visiting an early Christian basilica of the 5th century; or by going to the prehistoric site of Torre d'en Galmés (3 km), the largest settlement of talaiots Balearic (admission fee), and nearby, in Ses Roques Llises to see one of the most ancient megalithic constructions of Menorca. Another attraction that draws people from all over the world is the Cami de Cavalls, a path that runs along the coast of Menorca for its entire length. The 185 km of the path, divided into 20 sections (Son Bou is arrival of the 15th and start of the 16th section), they can be tackled on foot, by bicycle or on horseback and is the best way to explore the natural beauty of the island. The path winds through rocky areas, gullies, streams, valleys, wetlands and agricultural areas by joining the watch towers, lighthouses and trenches scattered throughout the island. Through the Cami de Cavalls you observe closely the many ecosystems on the island of Menorca. Being a circular route can start anywhere, but the zero kilometer is located in the port of Mahon where the first stage. The trail is marked with information boards every 50-100 meters.
