About Jonathan Willick
My wife and our family are Canadians living in San Diego and we bought this little place to have somewhere to go with the family to get away from the city and experience a bit of winter fun like skiing and sledding. We love heading up to Big Bear whenever we have a free weekend, its a great place to visit year round and has a lot of beautiful scenery and things to do.
Jonathan Willick purchased this Cabin in 2013
Why Jonathan Willick chose Moonridge
Quiet cozy place up the mountain, great location for a quiet stay in the woods away from it all. Also walkable to Bear Mountain ski resort for skiing/snowboarding or mountain biking. Great place to relax year round.
What makes this Cabin unique
The place is an easy walk to Bear Mountain for anyone wanting to ski, you can go back and forth or go home for lunch and it is convenient with small children. There is also a lot of mountain biking in the area during the summer months. The deck has a great view of the trees and is a relaxing place to kick back and relax.

We absolutely loved this cabin & it will definitely be our "go to" from now on. Super clean, great wifi, new carpet, nice dishes & kitchen set up, great deck, comfy couch. Perfect for my husband & I and our 2 teens. I am normally a little grossed out by the cabins we stay in & we come up twice a year at least. But this cabin was clean & cute. Fresh vacuum marks in the new carpet. Stocked coffee station. Condiments & nice dishes. (I cooked all of our meals here & wasn't scared to open the cabinets!) Great deck & outdoor furniture. I highly recommend. We will definitely be visiting again soon!
PERFECT...For the FIFTH Time!
My husband and I have been going to Big Bear for over 35 years, and have stayed at a variety of places, always searching for the perfect spot to stay. Once we found this incredible cabin, we knew the search was over forever. The location could not be any better, being walking distance from Bear Mountain, the Zoo, a charming golf course, and absolutely mind-bogglingly beautiful hikes. Downtown, with an ever-increasing array of really good restaurants, is just a short drive away. The cabin itself is absolutely beyond charming. It is cozy, clean as can be, and enjoys an unusually large backyard and really nice privacy. We passed many an hour sitting on the incredible back deck, listening to nothing other than the sounds of nature and gazing at the natural beauty. As we have been there several times before, we knew that once we returned home from lunch in town and hiking, fishing, and this time horseback riding (Baldwin Stables-it was so much fun!), we would not have any desire to leave again. It is just too perfect a location, so we brought our own food, settled in, and barbecued every night. When it got dark, we would enjoy a cup of coffee on the deck and gaze at a gazillion stars that felt almost touchable. It is always difficult for us to say good-bye to such an amazing place, but we know that it will be there for our next, eagerly anticipated visit. Jonathan, the owner is a truly nice and competent host, and is always a delight to rent from!
Nice location and quiet. Close to everything and easy to find. Owner very nice.
It was sad to see how others stay here trash the property by throwing burnt wood, old coals, bottles and trash off the deck
Thank you for the nice review and letting us know, our housekeeper may not have noticed the area off the deck but we will definitely have it taken care of.
Very clean ,cozy house with everything what needs to stay, new TV and good wifi.like it .
This was the second time we stayed here. The cabin is clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is peaceful and close to many things. It was another wonderful weekend in Big Bear!
Cabin was clean inside. The yard needs to be cleaned up.
Thank you for staying with us, we do a summer cleanup of all the brush in the yard and we actually went up and took care of it on the fourth of July holiday this year. It was a big job with all the rain this season but it looks much better now. Thank you for your review.
nearby hiking, Bear mountain ski resort, short drive to the village or the lake. Located in quiet area up the mountain
