Living in Waimea
The home was the perfect place for a month-long visit to beautiful Waimea. Rather than feeling like a resort or vacation rental, the home allowed us to feel as if we were living in Waimea ra her than just visiting. We look forward to returning many more times.
Incredible home with location close to all the local farmers markets and restaurants, I’d absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Waimea!
Wonderful place to stay.
Beautiful house in quiet subdivision. Owners were more than accommodating and helpful. Very prompt responses when we needed anything.
Great location, close to shopping, quiet lovely neighborhood with club house , fabulous views
Spacious and well equipped. One suggestion would be to provide a book specific to the home with how to's....for example there were no instructions on operating the fireplace, or garbage pick up etc.
We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and comfortable home in green and cool Waimea.
Great location, quiet neighborhood
The house is located at the end of quiet street within walking distance a great farmer's market open 2 days/week, and the back of the home overlooks beautiful green pastureland. Home was fairly new with a large, well-equipped kitchen. Overall, it was a very comfortable. Ideal for an extended stay on the Big Island
Lewis and family took care of my house as their own and we are grateful. We would definitely like to welcome them as our guests again whenever they visit Big Island.
Mimi and Abe
Quiet spacious home
House made a lovely base point for an extended stay. Great beds and cool evenings made for sound sleeping, with daytime temps very comfortable at the higher elevation. Spacious rooms more than adequate and we felt right at home in a quiet, safe neighborhood with amenities very close by. It was nice having a variety of birds in yard and a lovely open view of Mauna Kea overlooking ranch land. Although owners were off site, any issues were addressed. Would stay here again.
Thank you John and Lynn for staying in our home. It was a pleasure having you as our guests. Please keep us in mind for future travels.
Our town now has two major observatories, tied by fiber optics to the telescopes atop Mauna Kea.
Two theaters, art galleries, and there are three Waimea farmers markets where you can buy delicious fresh local
products and a good breakfast.
It’s surrounded by scores of small farms, growing everything from Cymbidium orchids to organic strawberries.
It’s a short distance from farm (or ranch) to table here, which has turned Waimea into something of a culinary
mecca, especially for a town that’s barely a quarter of the size of Oahu’s Kailua.
