About Erik Funke and Guusje Sellier
I'm a native Santa Barbarian who grew up in the triplex next door. This building was built in '96, the year our daughter was born. We raised her next door for the first five years of her life. The Studio had been leased out yearly and now we've made it into a vacation rental. We enjoy using it ourselves occasionally, when we want to escape from the Portland winters or play at the beach in the summers. We're looking forward to sharing our 2nd home with you.
Erik Funke and Guusje Sellier purchased this Studio in 1996

Very nice and great location
I would definitely come back. All was as advertised and it was very quiet at night despite being in town. First train I heard was not until after 7am.
Awesome little place!
This is a great place at an awesome price. You couldn't ask for a better location, and it was exactly as advertised. The owners were accessible as needed, and even took care of an issue with the internet for me while they were out of the country on their own vacation! You couldn't ask for better than that.
You are within a block to the beach, and less than that to State Street and shops/restaurants. The location can not be beat. The train station is close by, but is NOT an issue. I happen to love the sound of the train...it reminds me of times growing up in Santa Barbara. So again- the train station is not a problem. The balcony of this place is amazing, and the best feature of this studio. You have the entire upper balcony floor to yourself, with 2 doors opening out to the balcony. It made morning coffee special, and evening drinks enjoying the cool ocean breeze magic. If you are coming to town and want to be close to EVERYTHING, yet have your own little slice of quiet to enjoy, I would highly recommend this studio. It will make your stay truly special.
Had a really fun, relaxing time here. The location was better than we could have imagined. We loved hanging out on the patio and watching the sun set. And the proximity to the beach was super convenient. Great hosts, great home.
stayed here for a weekend during a wedding down the beach. loved spending time on the patio, listening to the ducks in the creek and smelling the sea breeze. such a lovely experience through and through and the owner gave a bunch of helpful advice to make our stay easy. would definitely come back!
Great location, nice and clean. Loved the wraparound porch.
We would highly recommend a stay here. Centrally located; lots to do in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara.

We were thrilled with the location of the studio and enjoyed the big porch and adorable studio. Plenty of room and check in was simple
