Camogli and Simona's apartments - coastal gems not to be missed!
It is my utmost pleasure to write a review of our stay in Simona’s apartment and Camogli itself.
The apartment location is perfect. Straight and simple walk from the train station. No need to take a taxi. Lots of shops nearby including bakeries with paninis, focaccias, diary, groceries and wine of course :)
The place itself is absolutely gorgeous as if prepared for the owner to live there, not to rent out. Stylish interior with marine touches. Place fully equipped with all appliances, cutlery, wine glasses and more to enjoy elegant dinner. Big, comfy beds, extra blankets, library full of English and Italian books and last but not least, excellent wi-fi speed (kids appreciate that, parents as well ;). Lots of extras that will make your local holiday life start easier – coffee, sugar, spices and much more.
Camogli is a coastal gem, cozy little town with wonderful beachfront, variety of restaurants and pizzerias offering food at more reasonable prices than other nearby resorts. I wish I could have stayed there much longer. I loved Semmu Friti across the street offering frutti di mare both to eat inside or to take away. Dining at Il Portico was a divine experience.
Contact with Simona was perfect, including her local restaurant tips. If I ever return to Liguria, I will for sure book my stay at Simona’s place.
Beautiful apartment in Liguria
This is a beautiful, comfortable and well-equipped apartment in the centre of Camogli a small picturesque fishing village in Liguria. The apartment overlooks the main square of the town and has a lovely view. The owner was courteous and helpful.
Camogli itself is very well located as a base to explore the Italian Riviera. Genoa, Santa Margarita and Cinqueterre are very easy to reach by bus or train. But it is quieter than say Cinqueterre and not so completely overrun with tourists. (Also Camogli is home to Fiorelle a shop which makes perhaps the best fresh pasta in the world!)
My wife and I stayed a week and enjoyed it very much. However the apartment might not suit someone with limited mobility. It is on the third and there is no lift. With that one reservation I would not hesitate to recommend it highly.
Our family spent 9 days in this apartment. It was clean, well decorated with all necessary for comfortable stay. Apartment is well located in the centre of Camogli. Beach, shops, restaurants, train station are very close. The view from the window is very nice. A small flaw is noise from garbage collection on the square early morning and steep stairs may be a disadvantage for somebody. Camogli is a charming town. Also it is very convenient base for exploring interesting places of Liguria. We highly recommend this apartment and hope to return back in future.
Gorgeous Casa Camogli - amazing apartment
Out family of 5 (3 children 12, 12 and 9 years) stayed in Simona's gorgeous apartment in mid April for 4 nights. We had a lovely stay here - the apartment was perfect for our family, extremely clean and well maintained. It felt like a home away from home. Simona and Ivan were the perfect hosts providing answers to all our questions. The apartment was fully equipped for all our needs. Great location in Camogli so close to everything - we loved walking everywhere and exploring this fishing village. We would loved to stay longer and will definitely return to this amazing town! Thank you for your prompt emails, assistance with directions and wonderful communication ! We would happily recommend staying here in Camogli We found it to be the perfect base for our ventures to Cinque Terre however it was away from the tourist bustle of the Cinque Terre towns. We so enjoyed the food and people of Camogli we will be sure to return! It was a lovely start to our dream 4 week Italian holiday! Hopefully, we will return and stay for longer next time! Grazie for your wonderful hospitality Simona and Ivan Ciao! Yvette and Family.
Many thanks Yvette for your kind words. We have been very pleased to have you and your nice family in Casa Camogli. We do hope to see you again in a next Italian tour. Ivan is saying hallo! Take care, Simona
"Our 2-week stay at Casa ...
"Our 2-week stay at Casa Camogli in March 2013 was absolutely exquisite. The house is well-appointed and nicely decorated with works depicting the Ligurian region. Simona, the owner, is a wonderful person, always available for questions and guidance. At Casa Camogli we lived right in the heart of the old town, making it an ideal location to experience living in the Ligurian coast. The house was spotless, well equipped, although it lacked a washing machine. This would have been a plus, but our stay was memorable regardless. A return visit is planned!"
This was one of the best ...
This was one of the best apartments we have every stayed in: it is enough for a family of 5 people, cosy, very clean, comfortable, located in an excellent part of the town, close to all possible things you might need like shops, bakeries, restaurants and of course the sea.
Basically, there is nothing to worry about - everything is provided by the loveliest hosts we have ever met!
There are minor things people should be aware of though. The first is that life starts quite early in that neighbourhood and some might get annoyed by some noise of machines or people preparing their shops for the day. Some municipal services such as garbage collection can for some people be annoying as they are provided quite early but we got used to that quickly.
As for the rest it is a beautiful, cosy, clean and very pleasant place to stay.
