Why Francine Appleby chose Madron
We as a family have visited Cornwall many times, being able to take our dogs on holiday with us is such a bonus. When we saw this cottage and it's location and the peace and tranquillity it had to offer. We fell in love with it instantly. The family love coming to stay here and be able to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.
What makes this Cottage unique
Being able to stay in our cottage and the peace & privacy it offers is incredible for us. The setting is beautiful all within lovely well kept grounds and from parts of the ground you can see the sea. We love that we are able to take a swim in the warm heated pool or relax in the sauna or even play tennis with the kids. If I don't feel like cooking we walk to The Old Forge and have a lovely meal and a glass of wine. The property is so convenient for jumping in the car and exploring Cornwall, there is so much to see . We love this place, we hope you do too.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.

Lovely place and greatlocation
No problems at all. Will go again.

Well equipped and comfortable
Thank you kindly for your review.
Good friendly place.
Not that impressed...But still a nice cottage.
On seeing the property from the outside and then the inside at first we were impressed. But after a closer look not so impressed. Firstly the stable doors do not stay together as they should when required. The locking mechanism does not work easily as it should and even the maintenance man said something was not right with them. They were a struggle at the best of time. The back door lock is the same and you had to force the handle up to lock it.The kitchen was open plan and spacious and looked clean and white. Sadly though the kitchen ceiling was in a very bad condition. Having artex peeling away from the actual plaster right above where you wanted to do any cooking was very bad and off putting to do any cooking at all. The ceiling had been botched before in several places and it showed. We were surprised that the property had not been maintained to a good standard. Lack of money one suspects. Shower room. Bottom of shower needed repairs as water rusty stains visible.Sealant coming away in several places. Main bedroom. One double bed pushed up against two walls meaning a ridiculous situation of getting in and out of the very uncomfortable bed..
Apart from what I have mentioned the cottage had everything we needed and we were happy with it. I'm sure if the problems we found are sorted out then eveyone would give it a 5 star rating.
Very impressed. The whole family loved there stay here
Great location, Great accommodation , the whole family loved our stay here . And wished we had booked longer than one week . I would 100% recommend it to others . And will be back for longer next time
