About Anne-lydia Halewood
We are a Welsh family from Cardiff and this has been a family holiday home for over 50 years where we have enjoyed bucket and spade summers as children, to current day walking the coastal paths to the next watering hole. Our elderly mother, whilst less mobile these days, enjoys the peace and quiet and is happy to watch the comings and goings of the town and the sea from the bench outside the house!
Anne-lydia Halewood purchased this House in 1963
Why Anne-lydia Halewood chose New Quay
It is perfectly equipped and situated within 5 mins walking to the three beaches, shops, bars and restaurants. The views are amazing and at the top of the street is the start of the Welsh Coastal Path. Fishing and Dolphin Watching trips are easily accessible although Dolphins are often just spotted by looking out of the window with a glass in hand! Binoculars are provided.
What makes this House unique
Fantastic sea views, walking distance to all facilities including shops, restaurants and beaches and located very close to the Ceredigion Coast Path.

Lovely house with amazing views
Great house had everything we needed for our break and with fabulous views of the bay. A few minutes walk from the beach and the coast path starts at the end of the street. Owners were great and gave us all the information we needed before our stay.
Well equipped homely feeling house. Wonderful views from the house and good location for shops, pubs and restaurants. Will definitely stay again.
A lovely house in a beautiful location. Everywhere within walking distance and we even saw some dolphins! :-)
What a lovely "Home from Home" we found. Recently refurbished to a very high standard, all the comforts of home with stunning views and probably the quietiest part of the village. I was brought up in New Quay and remember the property as the Doctors surgery so it had a lot of nostalga for me. A great find and helpful staff.
Ticked all the boxes
Just back from a short break at Hedd-Y- Mor. We will definitely be back!! The house was perfect for our needs, well equipped, fantastic views and excellent location. After long walks along the coastal path we look forward to coming back to the cottage, lighting the log burner and relaxing in the warm surroundings. Thankyou David and Anne for sharing this little gem.
Lovely small cottage, nicely kitted out with fabulous views in the cosy Welsh village of New Quay.
Hedd-Y-Mor is a lovely cosy cottage, set on the hill over looking the Welsh village of New Quay, with beautiful views into the village harbour & out to sea. The cottage is well equipped, nicely decorated and we would recommend. If you need somewhere quiet with lovely walks and fabulous views this may well be the place for you.
Thanks Richard for your review and so pleased you enjoyed your brief stay. Hope we will see you again.
