great location with easy access to Coniston and everything it has to offer.
Plenty of room with all the facilities and kitchen equipment we needed.
This property is located in a fabulous location very central to pubs cafes and minimarts. Has off street parking. It’s spacious inside and the kitchen is fully equipped. It has so much potential all it needs is a fresh paint job and to remove all the personal things. It feels as if the owners are still living there. It also has a damp and musty smell. We could only get one channel on the TV. The garden could be so charming with a little bit of work. We would have liked to have sat outside but it was too unkempt and not inviting. Overall Coniston is a lovely little village to spend some time in. Unfortunately I wouldn’t stay here again until it was updated.
We are really sorry about the garden as we agree it is charming. We have been let down recently by the gardener.
We still consider it our family home and enjoy having our personal things - the family wouldn't have it any other way.

We concur with the previous review of 20 July 2019. As a family we feel the kitchen falls well below the standard required and we ate elsewhere for the duration of the week. We also noted none of the electrical equipment had the statutory test labels attached so we assume that none have been tested.
We are disappointed that this traveller didn’t appreciate all the positives of our family home. Such contrasts of reviews from five stars to two are perplexing.
Brilliant location - could not be better, right in the middle of the village with local shop and 2 decent pubs within 100m. Though the property does have an old world charm it could do with a good clean and removal of family artefacts and general tat from window bays . Old family photos not attractive to visitors and old ornaments not welcoming; oriental doll by the dining table not to everyone's taste. The entrance to the twin bedroom also needs a joiner to sort out the short doorway; even with warning you are going to bang your head at some point.
Kitchen equipment okay. Some bigger cereal bowls required. Some attention to lighting bulbs would also benefit the property as it generally dark. Bathroom needs extractor fan to be fixed and replace right hand bulb next to the mirror.
Garden would benefit from some attention also and become useable.
The location of this property makes it. Some improvements as detailed would enhance the experience.
