La Paloma – Small but beautifully formed studio cottage – previously the home of doves and recognised as being of historic interest by the mayor of Montejaque, sits at the top of Montejaque’s Moorish Bario Nazari .
This stone built cottage retains character with whitewashed walls, terracotta tiled floor, windows with traditional shutters and original doors.
An elevated separate patio for Al fresco dining offers stunning views of Montejaque and beyond.
Internally the cottage is bright with beautiful views over the town and countryside. The kitchen is open plan and compact, providing a 2 ring gas burner and a fridge with freezer compartment. The living area provides a relaxing space during the day with a sofa bed for use at night.
Accommodation is all on one level with the bathroom/shower room accessed through double doors off the main area.
Montejaque is a ‘pueblo blanco,’ a short distance from the historic town of Ronda and set on the edge of the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park. The cottage sits a few minutes away from a beautiful hilltop picnic area, stunning by day and so romatic by night. This is a picturesque village and the pefect place from which to sight-see, walk, bird watch, mountain bike or horse ride. Seville, Granada and the coast are within reasonable driving distance . Should you wish to hang up the car keys for a day or so there is a train service to Malaga and Granada from the neighbouring village of Benaojan.
Awaiting you on your return from a day of activities are the bars and restaurants serving honest, local, quality fayre. For your self-catering needs, there are mini-supermarkets, shops, banks, pharmacy etc. All you need for every day living..
The communal, village pool is available for your use during the summer months at a nominal, daily charge.
Please note, as is the case with many homes in this part of Montejaque, the cottage is not accessible by car. Communal Parking is available approximately 5 minutes walk away.

WiFi is also available both inside the cottage and outside on the patio terrace.
