Your Northwest Island Beach Paradise
About Barron Steffen
To tell you a little about us, Barron owns his own music business and is an elementary teacher at Chautauqua Elementary on Vashon Island. He loves to surf and practices Siddha Yoga. Seana is the owner of the Restorative Leadership Institute (www.restorative-leadership.org), a certified B Corp. Seana also does a lot of yoga, running, swimming, and occasional fair-weather telemarking. Because Seana’s company is based in Colorado, we head back there for the summer.

A Slice of Heaven
Just spent five days (not long enough) at this amazing property! A very romantic getaway for two people with amazing views, privacy, and a wrap around deck offering sunbathing, dining, and places to enjoy the tide as it comes in under the deck and house. The location is perfect, on a quiet road great for biking and running AND an amazing trail through the woods right across the street. We plan on returning for a longer stay.
My husband and I stayed for our anniversary and it was literally perfect. It was exactly like we had hoped from the pictures- romantic, quaint, charming, and so relaxing!! We loved having the windows open and hearing the water, the quietness outside was so peaceful we could have stayed another few days at least! We rode the bikes (thanks for use of those!!) to the Burton coffee stand and also to the trails at the dock down the street. Also went kayaking (my first time!) and it was so close and convenient. We would 100% stay here again!!!!!!!!! Love love love this place!!!!!!!!
Peace and Quiet on the Water
We had a lovely stay at the little eco-cottage. It was just what we needed, a break from a busy work life filled with peace, quiet, and beauty.
Jensen Point Park in Quartermaster Harbor is around the corner. Enjoy this 4.0 acre shoreline activity park located on the east shore of Burton Peninsula off Harbor Drive.
Jensen Point provides one of two island boat launch and parking areas for motorized craft and a put-in access for hand carry kayaks and canoes. A small grassy area and picnic tables have been installed along the sand and cobblestone beach, which, due to the shallow water depth, is relatively warm for Puget Sound waters during the summer months.
The boathouse is home to Vashon Watersports, a kayak rental center, and to Vashon Island Rowing Club. It is also host to the Vashon Jr. Crew rowing program, operated in cooperation with the local rowing club and providing permanent instruction and operating space. Vashon Island Rowing Club is a year round adult rowing program, and Junior Crew is for boys and girls age 13 - 18. Juniors have a 12 week Fall season starting the last week of August and a 16 week Spring season starting the end of January in addition to summer camps.
Kayak and rowing classes are available for all ages. Vashon Watersports offers kayak rental and instruction out of the boathouse.
