About Judy Henley

Found just down the river from the of Old Factory Site (just a few minutes drive from downtown Murfreesboro, Lake Greeson and Crater of Diamonds State Park), the Henley family offers a secluded cabin on the banks of the Little Missouri River.

Judy Henley purchased this cabin in 2015

Why Judy Henley chose Murfreesboro

The cabin sits high on a rocky bank with a large shaded deck facing the water and dense woods. At the Eagles' Nest, you will find an unmatched view of the Little Missouri river while relaxing as the river flows below. Inside is room to sleep ten, with three bedrooms on a single floor, a pull-out sleeper sofa and two and a half baths. A full kitchen with ceramic counter-tops, refrigerator, stove, microwave and coffee maker. You'll also find satellite and four flat screen televisions.

What makes this cabin unique

The 'Old Factory Site' refers to a water driven mill that was located just upstream from the cabin in the mid 1800's. There was once a community, then known as Royston, at the site. The huge timber grid of the mill's 160+ year old foundation can still be seen in the river (a short walk away).

Great Stay! Incredible views!

  • 5 of 5

What a great Christmas weekend spent in this fantastic cabin! It was far better than we expected it to be. Everything you need is in the cabin, dishes, grill, firepit, toaster, blender, all of it! The beds were super comfy and all the linens smelled great! The wrap around porch and view of the river is outstanding. The pictures don't do it justice.

We had a family trip over christmas weekend, and upon arriving found the decorated tree in the living room, what a GREAT touch!

Our dogs LOVED the property and ran all over the grounds chasing scents. They had the time of their lives!

My only suggestions would be lighting for the stairs that go down to the water, and some firewood would have been wonderful.

Oh, and a hot tub under that back deck would be perfect! I plan on bringing a cheap acoustic guitar next time, and just leaving it as a gift for others to use! Any cabin is better with a guitar in the corner!

We will definitely be renting this again in the summertime! My wifes mother and two of her children live locally in Murfreesboro, so this place works perfect for us!

I highly recommend this wonderful, peaceful, beautiful cabin! Thank you!

Amazing cabin with awesome views and access to the river

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is amazing. It was very spacious and impeccably clean! My family of 5 had plenty of room to gather in the open kitchen and living room area. We loved the fact that there were bathrooms in two of the 3 bedrooms along with a half bath. Most of all we loved that we could walk to to river from the cabin. Our family sat and tubed in the river and we could keep an eye on them from the cabin or the lookout hut. We also loved that it was minutes away from Lake Greeson. We cannot wait to come back!

Perfect for 7 or more

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was perfect for having a lot of people in one space without being on top of each other. The open layout and the wraparound deck let us be together both inside and out. Plenty of seating and the 2.5 bathrooms allowed half a dozen grown women to get ready every morning without having to wait.

The four beds in the three rooms felt like they were new. The only thing that I would not recommend is thinking someone is going to sleep on the sleeper/sofa, the mattress is not at all comfortable.

We got to see nature (deer, woodpeckers, cranes, fish) from the comfort of the deck while sipping coffee or wine without having to be in nature. Since we are not outdoorsy types this was a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle while being in very modern home.
