About Fabián Torres Núñez
We are two brothers passionate about food, wine and sports. We love working at our restaurants and producing our own wine and vegetables. We love our land and shareing our secrets with our friends. We take great pride in being good hosts and for that reason we offer much more than a bed.
Fabián Torres Núñez purchased this Bungalow in 1994
Why Fabián Torres Núñez chose La Orotava
We offer a great location for a full canarian experience. We are within walking distance of La Orotava, which is a beautiful old town with great coblestone streets. La Orotava is the main town in the north of Tenerife and its home to the beautiful Orotava Valley and Teide, the highest peak (volcano) in Spain. If you are looking for a safe holiday location with somthing other than sun and beaches the north of Tenerife offers the real local experience. This is where the real locals live. Less influenced by tourism here you can visit real local restaurants and drink home made wine. The weather is very stable all year round with an average temperature of 22 degrees celcius.
What makes this Bungalow unique
15000 square meters of vines right on the edge of town. This gives you a touch of the rural countryside whilst still within reach of all the action. Pick your own vegetables. We grow all sorts of vegetables which are free for our hosts.

We thank you for a wonderful time in La Orotava. The house and the surroundings were great again.
Spacious, well appointed, private property surrounded by lovely gardens.
We enjoyed our stay and were well positioned in Orotava to visit many areas of the island on interesting hikes and exploring!
The guests were very respectful and enjoyed the finca and island to the max. Highly recommended.
Very nice house set on a vineyard on the outskirts of La Orotava
We greatly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. Fabian met us on the evening of arrival and explained everything to us. The house is very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and a good bathroom and shower. The fireplace and ample supplies of firewood were very nice to have in January when it can get chilly in the evening (for Tenerife!). La Orotava is a very beautiful old town with many good restaurants (e.g. La Zafra) and cafes, about 15 minutes walk away. Shopping is down by the motorway - a car is really a must for getting around. If you like hiking, the north coast of Tenerife is a paradise - you can go straight up to Aguamansa, to the west to Teno or to the East to Anaga. There is a higher likelihood of clouds and showers during the winter time in the North, but then one can drive over to the south which is a short distance away. We were very happy with our stay.
Its great to hear that you developed a passion for the north of Tenerife and its real beauty.
It was great to meet you. Hope to see you again.
Gorgeous large finca with everything you could need
The finca is gorgeous with a lot of living space and outside space too, a very well equipped kitchen, great WiFi, a very comfortable bed and amazing views. We had a lovely warm welcome from the owner Fabian when we met him at one of his restaurants. A glass of wine with a snack of his famous delicious eggs was very welcome after our journey. The finca is very close to the village of La Orotava where we enjoyed some great food. It is advisable you have a car but it is also easy to work out and use the local buses which seem to always be on time and cabs are plentiful after a short walk into La Orotava. Being up in the hills above the town can mean the weather is a couple of degrees cooler than the temperatures down by the coast but, for the cooler months there is a wood burner which just adds to the ambience. The barbecue is a lovely added extra and the supermarket only a 10 minute drive away. Picking veg out of the garden is great fun and the wine from the vineyard owned by Fabian is delicious. We can’t wait to return.
Its always great to hear that our guests get the most out of their holidays. I really enjoy people visiting our home town/island and feeling in tune with the volcano experience. ;)
Hope to see you again soon.
All the best.
Perfect In, Perfect Out.
Bodega Burchard was a fantastic place for the two of us to relax, cook, enjoy the amazing views, take forays into the nearby town of La Oratava with it's beautiful buildings and many good bars and restaurants and best of all as a base to set off on some memorable walks in the stunning Orotava valley!
We chose to arrive by bus and Fabian very kindly picked us up at the station to take us up to the property and show us around. After that he pretty much left us to our selves but he was immediately on hand the one time we asked for some extra wood for the cosy burner!
All the amenities have been covered well in other reviews and we can only agree that they are excellent, what hasn't been mentioned much is car versus bus. Yes ideally a car would be useful when staying here but if you fancy an adventure with the local transport, with a little research and practice the rewards are immense. It is a good 15mins walk into town which on a hot day for anybody with fitness issues may be a challenge but the taxis are cheap, friendly and plentiful.
Thanks again Fabian, hopefully next time we'll make it to your restaurant!
Tana and Marian, stayed Jan 2019
Im so glad you enjoyed your time here. Its a pleasure to host guests who come to enjoy our nature and respect our land. Hope you come back to the Canaries. All the best and you best not miss our restaurant next time... :)
Fabulous place to stay. The property has been finished to a really high standard.
Set in a beautiful vine yard and vegetable garden, with lots of outdoor space. Beautiful views from the front and back of the property. The pretty medieval town of La Orotava is a 15 minute walk away with everything you need there.
Fabian the host is extremely helpful and friendly and will help with any questions straight away.
Would definitely recommend this property for a relaxing stay but with plenty of places/beaches to visit a short drive away.
A cosy fully equipped cottage in the middle of an operating vineyard, overlooking the spectacular Orotava Valley and Teide, the highest volcano in Spain. This is one of two totally independant cottages that face away from each other and do not share any of the facilities except the vegetable garden and the parking area. The 15000 square meter property is located one kilometre from the centre of the historical town of La Orotava where you can experience the traditional canarian lifestyle.
