Lovely cottage in the centre of town
Great location for the quaint town. Nicely furnished and the bed was very comfortable. The riverside garden was also lovely to sit out in early evening.
Charming cottage in quiet side street in old unspoilt wool town.
We enjoyed our time in River Garden Cottage. The quiet, characterful property has everything you need (although you might want a washing machine if staying longer). The interior was tastefully renovated with lovely oak boards and a great wood burning stove. The simple old wool town is unspoilt and has pubs, takeaways and a friendly community whole food and coffee shop. A convenient base for Dartmoor and the South Hams. We could have done with instructions for the telly and stove but a text was met with quick and polite help in person. There is a dedicated car parking space up the lane but close car parks too. A pass is provided, as was a welcome pack of food. We will return.
Lovely cottage, and a perfect location to get about Devon. Very happy.
We really enjoyed our stay. We were very grateful for the welcome goody basket, thank you. The cottage was really comfortable and a nice town. We’d come again.
Compact, comfortable cottage, well furnished in a "shabby chic" style.
With two friends my wife and I spent 4 days in River Garden Cottage. It was ideal for our purposes (a base for travelling around the area and into Cornwall) in the middle of the quaint and quiet village of Buckfastleigh. It was quite small but well furnished in a shabby chic style. The beds were very comfortable and shower excellent. Adequately equipped for 4 people. The one dedicated parking space and its access were tight but manageable and there were 3 nearby public car parks for which a parking permit was provided for a second car. The small garden was quaint, overlooking a stream, but could do with a good mow and tidy. The South Devon Railway 400 metres away was delightful and the nearby Buckfast Abbey also well worth a visit.
Lovely well-equipped cottage, in a peaceful location. The welcome basket of goodies was much appreciated. The cottage is very well-placed for sightseeing in the area. We found the owner very helpful.
Fantastic cottage in a great location
Fantastic cottage that easily housed four adults. Equipped with everything you need for a long weekend and a log burner to help make the evenings very cosy! Situated right in the middle of the village and only 2 minutes from the Coop that provided great croissants and bread. Really great value for money!
