Why Owner chose Bath
Guests tell me that they love the peaceful and beautiful setting which Barrow Farm offers. They love the fact that they can walk to and explore the old and very pretty village of Rode. The village offers two pubs and currently a cafe allowing guests to enjoy eating out without the worry of driving. There are pretty walks directly from the farm and plenty of places to visit and explore. Many guests return saying they need longer to allow them to see and explore all the places they missed first time!
What makes this Cottage unique

This is an excellent place to stay
The cottage has everything you could possibly need and is nicely laid out. It is in a lovely quiet area but is still easy to get to. Plenty to see and do in the area e.g. Bath is only a short distance away. There are two good farm shops within a few minutes drive, b0th with restaurants.
We would definitely recommend this and would like to return.

The cottage is sited on a small farm and is therefore in a rural setting with undulating ground. To the front of the cottage is gravel and at the back of the cottage there is a terrace with paving stones.
There is small step up into the front door and a threshold down from the french windows onto the terrace.
Inside the cottage the main living area is on one level. However, there is a standard size step down into the bedroom.
The cottage is not equipped with disabled facilities or hand rails.
The cottage is based on the farm which is a five minute walk into the village of Rode. From Rode there are lovely towns 10-15 minutes drive away such as Bradford on Avon and Frome. Bath is a twenty-five minute drive away. There are plenty of National Trust places to visit and lots of other pretty places to explore.
Stone Henge is 40 minutes away and Avesbury slightly further. Salisbury is also about forty-five minutes away as is the small Cathedral city of Wells.
Devizes is also a pretty market town with the added interest of the canal and numerous locks which the boats have to navigate.
